Car owners often have to carry massive things in the trunk. If there is no assistant, then loading them into the trunk or unloading them alone is quite difficult.

Previously, I also had to strain with a motor cultivator that weighs 55 kg. Now loading and unloading is not a problem for me - I made myself a special device for this purpose. It is clear that it can be used not only for a cultivator.

The load capacity of the device is 80 kg. It is designed to service cars such as "Moskvich-412", VAZ-2101 and analogues. This load capacity can be increased by lengthening the struts and, maintaining their angle of installation, raise the upper collar to the rim of the hub.

The device is made from affordable materials with minimal use of a lathe. The design of the lift is so simple that it does not require much explanation. However, it is still necessary to dwell on something.

I carved the hook only after I picked up the lifting mechanism - the chain hoist, since the dimensions of its hook determined the diameter and length of the neck of the hook.

The turntable was made from a steel pipe, the wall thickness of which is 3 mm, since thin-walled is unacceptable here.

The emphasis rests on the heads of the bolts, so its outer diameter is chosen so that this part enters the column without a gap and even with a little effort. The stop is inserted into the column from below, and before the brackets of the legs are fixed with bolts, and upset to the place with light blows on it with a swivel stand.

Before operation, the device is installed near the open trunk so that its two legs are necessarily directed towards the rear wheels of the car.

If a "slippery" rope is used in the chain hoist, for example, nylon, then in order to reliably hold the load in a suspended state, the running end of the rope must be passed under one of the struts when turning the rack (this moment is shown in the photo in the splash screen).

The device can be easily disassembled and folded. To do this, the swivel stand is removed from the column upwards, the wing nuts on the upper clamps are unscrewed, the struts are folded back to the legs and all together are reduced to the column. When folded, the lift is tied with a cord and placed in the trunk.

Since with repeated folding and unfolding of the lift, its fasteners become loose, I periodically tighten all the nuts.
