The folding set is designed for a relaxing corner on a country plot, near the wall of the house with a sunny or, conversely, shady side - where you like it best. This set includes a table and two benches, and what is unusual about it is that all these items are easily lifted and fixed on the wall in the form of a flat package, hiding from the weather or simply freeing up space on the site for other things.

The basis of the set is a tabletop with two legs connected by a long board, which plays the role of a support cross for benches. A sheet of plywood, a plank board or chipboard with a size of 1500x1500 and a thickness of 20 mm can be used as a tabletop. Legs - wooden bars with a section of 20x40 and a length of 850 mm; they are attached to the tabletop with card loops, as shown in the figure. The crossbar is attached to the legs with furniture bolts and nuts - this gives the connection the necessary rigidity. The dimensions of the board 2000x250x15 mm are chosen so that both benches that do not have their legs fall on its ends when the headset is unfolded. The other edge of the tabletop rests on a wooden bar with a section of 40x40 mm screwed to the wall, to which it is connected by a piano hinge, receding from the wall by the thickness of the tabletop - for its free installation in a vertical position.

Two of the same, but shorter, bars are attached to the wall as support for benches, which are boards 1500x250x40 mm, connected to the bars also with piano hinges, indented from the wall by the thickness of the bench. The opposite ends of the benches rest freely on the board-crossbar of the table legs. It turns out that the headset has only two legs.

In order to lean the whole set against the wall, it is enough to lift one countertop. At the same time, the legs begin to deviate on their hinges, and the lifted free ends of the benches slide along their crossbar - all objects gradually move into a vertical position, gathering against the wall in the form of a single flat package. Here they are "waited" by a revolving bracket that fixes the countertop, and hence the whole set.

Unfolding occurs in the reverse order: by turning the turntable, we release the countertop and, holding only it, lower the entire set down.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Twenty inches organic 22.04.2003

The creation of the first color rendering matrices was, perhaps, the most significant technological breakthrough in the field of visualization tools over the past few years.

Now this technology, with all its capabilities, is beginning to push traditional liquid crystals. A good example of this was the announcement by Chi Mei Optoelectronics about the creation of a prototype of a twenty-inch full-color transistor array OLED (organic light emitting diodes) based on amorphous silicon.

Matrices with such a large diagonal, a full range of transmitted colors and a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels have not yet been available. Its main advantages, compared with traditional TFT LCD liquid crystal matrices, are the absence of color filters and a backlight module, as well as lower power consumption. True, the shadow mask required for OLED screens is still too expensive, so it’s too early to talk about the commercial use of the novelty.

As an approximate date for the start of commercial production, company representatives name 2005.
