Could you call someone an Eskimo?

The term "Eskimo" covers a number of different groups and is not necessarily (as some believe) an insult. Eskimos include people living in the high Arctic regions of Canada, Alaska and Greenland. The word itself belongs to the language of the Cree and Algonquin Indian tribes and has several possible meanings: "one who speaks a foreign language", "one who comes from another land" or "one who eats raw meat". In Canada (where the term Inuit is politically correct) it is considered rude to call someone an Eskimo, although the Alaskan Eskimos are quite happy with such a name. Moreover, many of them prefer just the term "Eskimo", since they are categorically not Inuit - a people living mainly in the northern part of Canada and some parts of Greenland.

Calling the Kalaallite in Greenland, the Inuvialulite in Canada, and the Inyupiat, Yupiget, Yuplite, and Alutiite in Alaska "Inuit" is like calling all blacks "Nigerians" and all whites "Germans." The Yushki living in Siberia and southwest Alaska don't even know what "Inuit" means. And this means, by the way, "people" although the word "Yupik" (Yupik) even outdid him - it means "real person".

The languages of the Eskimo-Aleut family are related to each other, but are in no way connected with other languages of the planet.

The Inuit language, which is developing quite actively, is spoken in the northern regions of Alaska and Canada, as well as in Greenland, where it is considered official and is taught in schools. Known as Inupiaq and Inuktitut, the Inuit language has only three vowels and no adjectives. In the US, the Inuit language has been banned for seventy years.

In 1999, the Canadian Eskimos achieved their own statehood: they were given a fifth of the territory of Canada (the second largest country in the world). Nunavut is one of the youngest nation-states in the Inuit language it means "our land".

Five people per car, all the Eskimos in the world could fit into the parking lot at Los Angeles International Airport. In Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, more people use a computer than in any locality in Canada. It also has the highest per capita suicide rate in all of North America.

The growth of the average Eskimo is 1,62 m, the average life expectancy is 39 years.

The blackest color for a BMW car 29.08.2019

The unique project was born thanks to the collaboration between BMW and Surrey NanoSystem, which developed Vantablack. The BMW X6 Vantablack VBx2 will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In 2014, British experts introduced the substance vantablack (vertically aligned nanotube arrays (vertically oriented arrays of nanotubes) + black (black)), which is the blackest known substance in the world.

Vantablack consists of carbon nanotubes growing on aluminum foil, 14 to 50 micrometers long and 20 nanometers in diameter. Such a substance absorbs 99,965% of the radiation incident on it, which distorts the shape of the surface covered with vantablack and visually turns three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional blackness.
