What is a rheumatic attack?

Rheumatic attack is a heart disease that usually only affects young people. Unfortunately, this disease can lead to serious and incurable disorders of the heart, so a person who has had this disease needs to be careful. But still he remains able to lead an active life.

The cause of rheumatic attacks is, apparently, infection with certain bacteria. It looks as if the sick person is allergic to that particular bacterium. It may also be the result of heredity. The age of a person also seems to be of great importance for this disease.

Most often they get sick between the ages of six and nineteen. Those who are younger or older are less likely to get this disease. Almost all cases of rheumatic fever seem to be due to infection with bacteria called streptococci. Therefore, the likelihood of this disease after streptococcal infections of the throat, tonsillitis, nasopharyngeal infections and scarlet fever is high. Hence the particular importance of treating these diseases under the supervision of a physician.

Quite often, the symptoms of rheumatic attacks are so insignificant that the person does not pay any attention to them at all. But the doctor is able to recognize the disease in time, and his intervention will prevent the serious development of the disease. Sometimes when children experience some kind of pain, which we call growing pains, they may actually have mild bouts of rheumatic attacks and should be taken to the doctor immediately.

The pains associated with rheumatic attacks usually appear in the joints, especially in the knees and elbows. In acute cases, the temperature may rise significantly. Joints swell, redden, weaken and hurt a lot. Sometimes blisters appear under the skin, which often indicates the severity of the disease. Treatment of this disease requires constant medical care.

How did the Grand Duke of Kyiv Vladimir Svyatoslavovich motivate his rejection of Islam?

According to The Tale of Bygone Years, Bulgarian Muslims arrived in Kyiv in 986 to convert Prince Vladimir to Islam.

When asked by the prince, what is the essence of their faith, they explained: “Mohammed teaches us this: cut off secret uds and do not eat pork, do not drink wine after death, you can fornicate with wives. Mohammed will give everyone seventy beautiful wives, and choose from them one most beautiful, and will embody the beauty of all in her - she will be his wife. And here you can indulge in fornication to your heart's content. And if someone is poor in this world, then also in that one. " "And many more false things were said," says the chronicler, "about which it is impossible to write shamefully for the sake of it."

According to the chronicle, Vladimir listened to the Muslim ambassadors very favorably. He especially liked in Islam that one can indulge in fornication to the fullest extent. "Be bo himself loving his wife and wandering a lot," the chronicler remarks disapprovingly. But what was "disliked" to the prince was circumcision, as well as a ban on the consumption of pork meat. Especially unacceptable was the prohibition to drink wine.

It was then that Vladimir uttered the famous phrase: "Russia is fun drinking, we cannot exist without it." This ended the conversation.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>
