When and how was income tax started?

Income includes everything that a person earns: wages, bonuses, fixed interest from bonds and savings in bank accounts, dividends from securities and income from real estate. This also includes fees to doctors, lawyers, writers, inventors and other professionals.

The population of England was first taxed with income in 1799 by William Peet the Younger. The money was used to pay for the costs of waging wars with France. Today, income tax includes a personal tax on all annual income received from investments or in the form of earnings.

The amount of the tax is determined by: the annual profit received from working capital by income deductions that vary in accordance with the size of income, and the difference between labor and non-labor income. That part of the income that is the amount of expenses that go to the maintenance of one person and his family is not taxed.

In Britain, the amount of tax deductions is determined by the Annual Financial Act. The people who run the tax system are called members of the State Department in charge of internal taxes. Tax inspectors control the correctness of paying taxes locally. Major or special members of the State Department hear tax appeals or denials. The income tax, when it was first introduced, was envisaged only as a temporary measure.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Eye-Fi Mobi cards for wireless image transfer 06.06.2013

The range of Eye-Fi, which produces SD memory cards combined with wireless adapters, has been replenished with two models of the new Eye-Fi Mobi series.

According to the manufacturer, Eye-Fi Mobi is the first memory card specifically designed to link a camera and a mobile device. Pictures taken by the camera in which such a card is installed are instantly visible on a tablet or smartphone with iOS or Android connected via a wireless channel.

Mobi claims to eliminate the hassle of transferring footage, allowing the photographer to focus on the shoot. Pictures transferred to a mobile device can be viewed, edited, shared on social networks and sent by mail as if they were taken with the built-in camera of a smartphone or tablet. There is no need to put up with the limitations of the built-in camera.

Among the advantages of Eye-Fi Mobi, the manufacturer notes the ease of installation and use. It does not require a computer or other equipment to operate. It is enough to install the appropriate application on your mobile device and enter the 10-digit card ID. One and the same card can be linked to several mobile devices. Although Wi-Fi is used for communication, no router or access point is needed.

The novelty is offered in two versions of volume: 8 and 16 GB. The cards cost $50 and $80 respectively. Both are labeled Class 10.
