What conditions determine the sex of a crocodile?

In crocodiles, like many turtles, sex is determined not by the set of chromosomes, but by the temperature at which the eggs develop.

At temperatures less than or equal to 30 degrees Celsius, only "girls" appear in the nests of the Mississippi alligator, and at temperatures greater than or equal to 34 degrees, only "boys".

In the intermediate interval, both are born in different proportions. However, the ratio of males and females in each species in nature should be more or less constant, and how crocodiles solve this problem is not yet completely clear.
