Proverbs and sayings

Phraseologism: Take rubbish out of the hut.

Meaning: Disclose troubles, quarrels concerning only a narrow circle of people.

Origin: The expression is associated with the ancient custom not to take garbage out of the hut, but to burn it (for example, in a furnace), since an evil person could allegedly send trouble on the owner of the hut by uttering special words over the garbage.

Random phraseology:

Affairs? Quite simply: it is the money of others.

Meaning:

Any entrepreneurship is only a way of redistributing money in society: for example, from clients, customers ("neighbors") to suppliers of goods (services).

Origin:

From the comedy "Money Question" (act. 2, scene 7) Alexandre Dumas-son (1824-1895). This is a traditional translation of the phrase in Russian literature, although, given its meaning, another version of it would be more accurate: Business? Quite simply: it is the money of others.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. The dangers of 5G communications for the health of bees 30.05.2019

Currently, insects are on the verge of extinction due to the use of various pesticides by farmers and advances in technology. However, according to experts, the real situation can worsen at times: insects are unlikely to survive the new generation of mobile communications. A real miracle will happen if they do survive.

Experts have been talking about the disappearance of bees for a long time. They are negatively affected by 2G, 3G, 4G, and soon the list will be replenished with 5G. The new communication standard will be a ticking time bomb. Researchers from the Swiss organization "Pro Natur" found that radiation affects the antennae of insects, raising the temperature of the entire body. Maybe in the near future there will be no bees and invertebrate arthropods at all. This will result in a real collapse of civilizations.

The new generation of communications will operate at 120 GHz, while existing standards operate at 6 GHz. Frequencies above 10 GHz are used by insects. Therefore, 5G has the potential to change the physiology and behavior of arthropods.

Scientists call on the authorities of the countries where the launch of the technology is planned to present operators with increased requirements for environmental control. Otherwise, the world will starve.
