Focus Description:

The coin passes through the leg of the magician.

Focus secret:

This trick requires the ability to hold a coin in the palm of your hand and the coin itself.

Focus Coin passing through the leg

1. Show the coin to the audience by holding it between the fingers of your right hand. Then lower your hand down so that the coin is near the fabric of your trousers, just above the knee of your right leg.

2. Put the coin on your leg as shown in the picture. Hold it in place by pressing your thumb against your leg just above your knee.

3. Bring your left hand to this place. With the fingers of your right and left hands, make a fold in the fabric of the trousers, tucking the fabric up and under the coin.

4. Now fold the fabric you folded under the coin up and over the coin. Hold the fold with your left thumb.

5. Once you have covered the coin with the fold of your trousers, with the thumb of your right hand, discreetly tighten the coin behind the fingers of your right hand.

6. The coin is now in the palm of the right hand. Take your right hand and slowly, openly move it behind the leg.

7. The left hand releases the fold. The fabric falls, and it becomes clear that the coin has "disappeared". Open the palm of your left hand, showing the audience that it is empty.

8. Next, slowly pull the coin with your right hand from behind your right knee. The viewer has no doubt that the coin went through the leg.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
