Focus Description:

In your hands you have a small box with holes in the side walls. Slowly open the door and put the nickel-plated ring into the box. Close the door, pierce the box with a "magic" wand. You open the door again. Viewers see that the ring is no longer at the bottom of the box, but is put on the middle of the wand!

Focus Ring in a box

Focus secret:

For this trick, you need two identical rings with a diameter of about 50 mm. And a secret box.

Its dimensions can be any. For example, you can make or pick up a box of a cubic shape with a side of the face three to four times the diameter of the ring. In the middle of the side walls, make a hole with a diameter of 20 mm. And inside, around the hole in one of the side walls, make a recess exactly the size of the ring.

The back wall of the box consists of two halves. If you fasten the lower one on hinges, it will be easy to open and close.

Put one of the rings in the recess and you're good to go.

The moment the wand passes through the box, discreetly open the back door, and the ring, placed in front of the audience at the bottom of the box, will slip into your palm, so you just have to quickly hide it. Shake the box. The ring will pop out of the recess and hang on a stick. Feel free to show the "miracle" to the audience.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

New Lithographic Process for Growing Semiconductor Crystals 25.09.2000

Leading manufacturers of computer chips - Intel, AMD and Motorola, together with the Virtual National Laboratory (USA) are developing a new lithographic process used in the growth of semiconductor crystals.

The new lithographic process uses extreme ultraviolet wavelengths to produce elements with a transverse dimension of less than 0,1 microns on a semiconductor chip by placing more transistors on a single chip. According to the developers, the new lithography technology will make it possible to create 100 times more powerful processors and 100 times more capacious memory chips than is possible with modern semiconductor growing technologies.

The first processors created using this technology will operate at a clock speed of about 10 GHz (currently the fastest commercial chips from Intel and AMD are clocked at 1 GHz).

It is planned that commercial production using ultraviolet lithography technology will begin in 2005.
