Focus Description:

The performer takes an electric light bulb from the illusion table and goes with it into the auditorium. He shows the light bulb to the audience to assure them that it is an ordinary one and does not have any wires or contacts.

At the request of anyone sitting in the audience, the magician lights a light bulb at arm's length, without connecting it to an energy source. The performer approaches one or another spectator, and the light in his hand either lights up when he touches the audience with it, or goes out (Fig. 16).

Focus secret:

The performer will need a frosted light bulb, a XNUMX-volt Crystal battery and a small light bulb for a flashlight.

The frosted light bulb will have to be disassembled into its component parts (Fig. 16, B). The base should be separated from the glass cover, and the internal elements removed, since they will not be needed for the focus.

You will need to insert a battery inside the glass cover; you will need to insert a battery with a small light bulb attached to the free end of it. This miniature “electrical installation” should be fastened to the base so that the glass cap does not jump off it. Frosted glass will hide this secret device from viewers. For the light bulb to light up, a contact is required. For this purpose, a small lever made of soft metal will serve, which should be soldered to the lamp base. At the right moment, the performer presses the lever with his index finger, the lever touches the battery, and the light comes on.

When demonstrating a trick on the stage, you need to create twilight, then the light from the light bulb will seem brighter. This will enhance the visual effect.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Miracle laptop with 6,8 GHz processor 1 TB RAM 16.01.2006

Atom Chip Corporation has announced a prototype laptop that impresses with its technical characteristics: the processor operates at a frequency of 6 GHz, the amount of RAM is 8 Tbps, and the permanent memory is 1 Tbps.

The memory subsystems use non-volatile quantum-optical (quantum-optical) synchronous memory. The new type of memory, according to the developer, is characterized by high storage density and high speed.

Non-volatile integrated optoelectronic Random Access Memory (NvIOpRAM) is used as RAM. It provides a storage density of 3 Gb per cubic millimeter. The work of NvIOpRAM is based on the magnetic quantum-optical effect in porous silicon, named after the discoverer Gendlin Effect. The write speed of the new memory is 2 Gb / s, the read speed is 8 Gb / s.

The AtomChip Quantum II processor operates at 6 GHz, has 8 MB of internal memory and has very low power consumption. As an alternative, four Intel Pentium M processors (256 GHz) are provided.
