Focus Description:

On the illusion table there is a frame with holes on a stand. Ribbons hang through the holes: yellow, green and red (Fig. 15). In addition to the frame with ribbons, there are three sheets of black paper on the table, from which the performer makes three pounds. The magician places a yellow ribbon in one of the pounds, pulling it out of the frame, in the second - a green one, and in the third - a red one.

Then he opens the pounds one by one. The first, which contained a yellow ribbon, turns out to be empty, the second, which contained a green one, is also empty, from the third, which contained a red ribbon, the performer pulled out a chain of red, green and yellow ribbons.

Focus secret:

First of all, you will need pounds with a secret. To make them, take three sheets of thick black paper measuring 40x60 cm. 40 cm are laid on the large sides of the rectangle. You get two figures: a square measuring 40x40 cm and a rectangle measuring 40x20 cm. The rectangle needs to be divided into two equal triangles, and then one of them cut off (in Fig. 15, B it is shaded).

A layer of glue is applied to the cut line and, bending the triangle along the “AB” line, glue it to the square. Having prepared three such square sheets, the performer places them in advance on the illusion table. Each of them now has a secret pocket.

Next you need to make a wooden frame on a stand. Three holes are cut into the bottom bar of the frame, through which the tapes are then passed.

For the trick you will need 1 m of yellow tape, 1 m of green and 50 cm of red. The yellow and green ribbons are cut in half. One half of a piece of yellow and green ribbon is twisted into small rolls and placed behind the frame, and the ends are pulled through its holes. From the two remaining halves of the yellow and green ribbons and from a piece of red, rings are made and connected with a chain. Then this chain is also rolled into a roll, leaving a red ribbon on top. This secret roll is placed behind the frame, and the red tip is pulled through the third hole in the frame.

Now you can start demonstrating the trick. To do this, the performer takes pre-prepared sheets of paper and makes pounds out of them (Fig. 15, D). In the first two, he places a piece of green and yellow ribbon, pushing them into secret pockets. When the performer opens and shows these pounds to the audience, they turn out to be empty. The artist places a chain of ribbons in the third pound. He takes it from the back of the frame by the roll and pulls it out of the hole so that the audience cannot reveal the secret of the trick.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. IT urinal 04.12.2017

Dutch startup Mr.Friendly introduced the world's first IT urinal.

A distinctive feature of the new urinal is that it has a built-in display. Advertising starts to spin on it immediately after the built-in sensors determine that the device has been approached. At the same time, this high-tech device is controlled by an operator from the "cloud control center".
