Portable solar charging for electric vehicles from Volvo 11.08.2013

Volvo, the largest car manufacturer in Sweden, plans to launch a foldable solar charging station that can be dismantled and placed in the trunk of a car.

Called Pure-Tension Pavilion, the system was developed for the Volvo V60 diesel hybrid electric vehicle for Volvo Car Italia by Los Angeles-based Synthesis Design + Architecture, Buro Happold and Fabric Images.
