Focus Description:

The performer takes a large colorful scarf from a chair and shows it to the audience. Then he hangs a handkerchief on the back of a chair and shows the audience that he has nothing in his hands. After that, he takes the corners of the handkerchief and, carefully removing it from the back of the chair, goes to the forefront. Suddenly, the magician pulls off the handkerchief with his right hand, and the audience sees in his left hand a plate from which a stream of multi-colored ribbons flows and paper confetti scatters in all directions - something like a colorful fountain.

The performer makes a movement, as if splashing the tip of the tape out of the plate, and shows the audience from all sides a completely empty plate.

It is good to end the performance with this spectacular trick.

Props:

As props, you will need a chair with a cover, a low aluminum saucepan, a colorful scarf measuring 1X1 m, a plain colored scarf measuring 40x40 cm and a ribbon sewn from two-meter sections of different colors with a length of 50-60 m. In addition, you will need a small piece of rubber braid sewn with a ring . This ring should slide easily over the edge of the pan.

In the cover of the chair, behind its back, there is a secret sideboard pocket, in which a saucepan with a ribbon fountain “charged” into it is placed in advance (Fig. 31). To give the pan a "stage" look, its edges must be cut (their height should be 6 cm) and sanded.

A ring with a diameter equal to the thickness of the performer's thumb is riveted on the outside of the pan (Fig. 31, B). This pan should be colorfully decorated - painted with paints or pasted over with colored paper figures: cubes, triangles, circles. Such a pan becomes like a beautiful plate.

Now you need to prepare a multi-colored ribbon and cut confetti from multi-colored tissue paper. This confetti is prettier and lighter than usual.

Focus secret:

The secret of the focus is to "charge" the tape. The pan should be put on your knees and, holding the end of the tape with your left hand, line the bottom of the pan with it. The tape should be laid out with the right hand in the shape of a triangle, holding the corners of the fold of the tape when turning with the finger of the left hand (Fig. 31, B). Each subsequent triangle is superimposed on the previous one so that a six-pointed star is obtained. The tape must be laid by turning the pan once clockwise, the other - in the opposite direction. So "charging" is more convenient and the tape will not be confused. A small handful of confetti is poured into the laid out triangle. When the entire tape is laid, it is slightly pressed to the bottom of the pan, and a small button is sewn to the tip, which will serve as a weight. The end of the tape with a weight is attached to the corner of a plain scarf measuring 40x40 cm, which is used to cover the pot with a secret. A rubber ring is pulled over the edges of the pan over the scarf, which is attached to the scarf in several places. After that, the pan is placed in a secret pocket of the cover behind the back of the chair so that the bottom of it is facing the performer. The handle-loop for the thumb, for which the performer pulls the pot out of the case, at the right time should be above the pocket and slightly below the edge of the back of the chair.

Before demonstrating the trick, a large colorful scarf is hung on the back of a chair. The performer takes it and shows it to the audience from both sides, and then hangs it on the back of the chair again. Secondarily, the magician takes it with his left hand at one corner, and with his right hand at the other. At this moment, the artist puts the thumb of his right hand into the handle of the pan and pulls it out, lifting it above the chair along with a plain scarf. Approaching the stage, the magician puts the bottom of the pan on the palm of his left hand, while with his right hand he removes a handkerchief with a rubber ring, pulls it off at the same time as a large handkerchief and throws them on the floor. A ribbon fountain appears in his hand.
