Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: There are two small tables on the stage at a distance of 2 m from each other. Each one has one box. The magician comes out with a deck of cards, shuffles it, and places it on one of the tables. He takes a box in each hand and shows the audience that they are empty. She puts both boxes open on the tables. Taking a deck, he asks one of the spectators to take a card from it, then he turns to another with the same request. Let's say that one of the spectators pulled out an ace of tambourines, the other - a five of tambourines. "Excellent," says the magician, "I put both cards in the left box" (Fig. 79, A).
Closing the box, the artist draws the attention of the audience to the fact that it contains cards with one point and five. "In total, that means six points!" - says the illusionist and with these words closes the left box. Going to the right one, he once again shows that it is empty and closes it. Then, having made several passes in the direction from the left box, he says: "Done! Please take a look. One and five - exactly six." He opens the right box, and the audience sees a six of tambourines lying in it (Fig. 79, B). The magician shows it to the audience. Showing the right box empty, he opens the left box - there is also nothing in it. Both cards placed there are gone. Props: Two boxes for magic tricks with cards. Card deck. Focus secret: The performer puts a six tambourine in one of the boxes in advance and covers it with an insert. The secret of the trick is clear from the description of the card trick box. The illusionist takes the left (from the audience) box with his right hand so that the thumb presses the insert to the bottom of the box; he holds the right box in his left hand, also pressing the insert to the bottom. Having thus shown that both boxes are empty, he places the empty box on the left (from the audience) table, and the tambourine loaded with six on the right. Taking the deck, the illusionist goes to the audience, where he gives the first spectator to take out an ace of tambourines (forced choice), and the second one also forces the five of tambourines. If the magician cannot force the desired card, then he uses a specially prepared deck, consisting of half aces of diamonds and half of fives of diamonds. First, the performer lets the spectator take out a card by fanning out the top half of the deck (consisting of aces), and then unfolds the bottom half and lets the five out. After the cards are taken out, the magician puts them in the left box (see Fig. 79, A). Then everything goes according to the description. You can leave the cards in the hands of the audience and, having brought them boxes, ask them to put the selected cards there. The secret and difficulty of this trick is to turn the boxes over unnoticed. If the magician does not know how to force the necessary cards or does not have enough of them for the force deck, then another trick can be applied. To do this, you need to use another spare box of cards. The performer calls two spectators onto the stage, allows one to take a card out of the deck; without looking at it, he puts it in a box, where two cards are placed under the insert - an ace and a five of tambourines. Then he asks another spectator to take out another card and, without looking at it, puts it in the box. He closes the box, quietly turning it over, asking the second spectator to take both cards from it and show it to the public.
