Focus Description:

Here is a mysterious trick involving cutting and restoring a bill, which is especially effective when working with real money. But you can also use requisite money or bank checks, or any paper in the form of leaflets that are close to the size of a banknote.

The magician shows the audience two dollar bills and puts them back together. Then both banknotes are defiantly and indisputably cut with scissors into four "halves". Without making any suspicious movements, the magician instantly restores both bills to their original state right in front of the astonished spectators.

Focus secret:

A. Place two new, or nearly new, dollar bills on the table with the "green" side up.

C. Apply a strip of rubber adhesive about a centimeter wide in the center of the back ("green") side of each bill. When it dries, apply a second layer of glue over the first layer and let it dry.

C. Dust the strip of adhesive on each bill with talcum powder, spreading it over the entire surface of the strip with your finger or, better still, with a soft brush. You will notice that the glued strips on each note do not stick to each other thanks to the talcum powder. Put the bills in your wallet or on the table, and you're ready to perform an ingenious trick that can be observed from a close distance.

Focus Banknote Recovery

1. Begin by showing both sides of the two bills you will be taking out of your wallet. Place them back together. (We will call the nearest bill to you A, and the closest one to the audience - B).

2. Align the bills. Make sure the adhesive strips touch each other all over.

3. Hold both banknotes with the fingers of your left hand. With your right hand, carefully cut both bills along the center line with scissors. Make sure that the cut does not extend beyond the adhesive strips. This operation is performed openly and defiantly, and the audience has no doubt that the bills are really cut - and in fact - they are cut.

4. Set the scissors aside. Take in your right hand the two right halves (half of bill A and half of bill B), and in your left hand - the left halves (the other two halves of bills A and B).

Focus Banknote Recovery

5. Holding the edges with the fingers of the corresponding hand, spread the halves apart.

Focus Banknote Recovery

6. Shaking open them. Thanks to the adhesive strip, the halves in each hand stuck to each other at the cut points, and it seems to the audience that the four halves are connected in pairs. got two "whole" banknotes.

Focus Banknote Recovery

If the trick is correctly performed, then the viewer only blinks his eyes in amazement. Rehearsing with prop money or shredded newsprint will give you a good idea of how much glue and talc to apply. Then, if you wish, you can try real money. Banknotes should be new, crispy, tight to each other in stages 2 and 3. Don't worry about financial losses: cut money can be glued with tape.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
