Focus Description:

The magician puts on an elastic band - a ring on the index and middle fingers. He curls his fingers into a fist. When he opens his fist, the rubber band magically jumps to his ring and pinky fingers.

Focus secret:

1. Pull the elastic to the base of the index and middle fingers of the left hand together. If the elastic is too loose, you can wrap it around your fingers twice. Try a few rubber bands to find the right size. You hold your hand in front of the audience, while the palm is facing you.

2. Close your fingers by folding them into a fist. At the moment when you close your fingers with the index finger of your right hand, you secretly pull the elastic band so that you can pass the tips of four fingers of your left hand, except for the thumb, under the elastic band.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. DJI Osmo Action Camera 19.05.2019

DJI has released the Osmo Action action camera. The device has a rugged design, which ensures survival in extreme conditions. The novelty is made dustproof, shockproof, waterproof and capable of operating at temperatures below zero.

Action camera Osmo Action is equipped with two color displays - front and rear. The rear 2,25-inch touchscreen has an oleophobic coating. And the 1,4-inch front display makes vlogging and self-portraits easy. Both screens provide a maximum brightness of 750 nits. The camera design uses a 1/2,3-inch sensor that can shoot 12-megapixel photos and 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and video stream up to 100 Mbps. Additionally, it is noted that the three-element lens design using an aspherical lens allows you to get video with a low level of distortion and reduces the effects of perspective distortion. The protective glass is covered with two layers of oleophobic coating. There is also an anti-reflective coating that reduces unwanted reflections in the lenses.

Implemented proprietary electronic image stabilization technology RockSteady. The device can shoot High Dynamic Range (HDR) video in 4K at 30 frames per second, adding another 3 stops to the available dynamic range.

The removable battery provides up to 93 minutes of 4K 30fps shooting with RockSteady on, and up to 135 minutes of 1080p 30fps with IS off. Dual microphones allow you to use the voice control function. There is also a built-in speaker for viewing footage.

The DJI Osmo Action action camera will retail for €379.
