Focus Description:

The magician shows the audience a large bowl filled with confetti and puts it on the table (you can pass it to the assistant). He draws the audience's attention to an empty paper cup.

Dropping the cup into the bowl, he scoops up the confetti, picks up the full cup, and pours the confetti into the bowl. The magician then refills the empty glass with confetti, but this time he does not pour the confetti into the bowl, but covers the filled glass with a handkerchief. When he removes the handkerchief from the cup, the audience is surprised to see that the confetti has magically turned into candy! Sweets are distributed to children present in the hall.

Focus secret:

A. For this trick you will need the following:

1. Two medium-sized paper cups.

2. One cardboard lid that tightly closes the cup.

3. Several bags of confetti.

4. One large opaque bowl. The bowl should be large enough to hold a paper cup in it.

5. Plain pocket square.

6. A package of sweets wrapped in candy wrappers.

Q. First of all, you need to make a "special" cup. Take a cardboard lid and stick some confetti on top of it. Most cardboard lids have a ledge on the side. If yours doesn't have one, make one out of duct tape and a piece of strong fishing line. Then fill the cup with sweets and press the confetti lid into place as shown in the picture.

Note. From now on, we will refer to the "special" cup as Cup B, and the regular, unprepared cup as Cup A.

C. Make sure that the lid protrusion or fishing line protrudes from the cup.

E. Fill a large bowl of confetti to about halfway. Place Cup B deep enough so that the audience can't see it over the edge.

E. Place the bowl on the table next to Cup A. Place a handkerchief in the left inner pocket of your jacket (or on the table) and you are ready to magically turn the confetti into candy.

1. Show the bowl to the audience and put it back on the table. Take Cup A in your hands, show everyone that it is empty, and use it to scoop confetti from the cup. Be careful not to "light up" Cup B during this operation.

2. From a sufficiently high height, pour confetti into the bowl: you will prove once again that everything you use is ordinary things.

The main movements of this focus are carried out in stages 3, 4 and 5.

3. Dip Cup A into the confetti again, obviously intending to scoop up the confetti.

4. But this time leave Cup A under the confetti and scoop up Cup B.

5. Raise the "special" Cup B, from which excess confetti is poured over the bowl, for the full view of the audience.

Note. This must be done in one smooth continuous movement. If you achieve this, the audience will not think about changing the cup.

6. Shake off excess confetti from the top of the cup, leaving only glued circles on it. Show the "confetti-filled" cup again to the audience.

7. Put your hand in your pocket, take out a handkerchief and put it on your hand with a glass. Make a magical gesture over the handkerchief with your free hand or "conjure".

8. Grasp the handkerchief and through the fabric by the ledge, grabbing it with the fingers of your right hand.

9. Lift the handkerchief and with it the lid sealed with confetti, and take it away from your hand. Throw the handkerchief and the lid hidden in its folds into the bowl. All you have to do is present the sweets that the confetti has turned into and distribute them to the children in the hall.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>
