EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Egg from nowhere. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician asks the audience to pay attention to the wicker basket and folded scarf on the table. Taking the scarf in his hands, he unfolds it and shows both sides of the scarf, which is no different from the usual one. By folding the scarf in half like a “book,” the magician makes an egg magically appear inside the “book” and allows it to fall out of the scarf and into the basket. After repeating the procedure, the magician drops another egg into the basket. The appearance of eggs out of nowhere continues: one after another, eggs fall into the basket. The spectators are sure that the basket is almost full. Putting the handkerchief aside, the magician takes an egg from the basket and breaks it on the edge of the glass to prove the authenticity of the eggs. Then, picking up the basket, the magician throws its contents into the air directly above the audience. The frightened spectators are relieved and surprised to see confetti pouring down on them from the basket. Focus secret: A. For this trick you need an opaque scarf (a bandana scarf is ideal for this), a medium-sized basket, or a top hat, or a box of the appropriate size and a plastic egg. You can buy such an egg at a "prank" store, and at Easter they are found everywhere. The basket (or cylinder or box) should be opaque so that spectators cannot see the contents, and deep enough to hold a reasonable amount of confetti and one real egg. In addition, you need confetti (or just finely chopped paper), a glass and a thin thread that matches the color of the scarf. C. Drill a small hole in one end of the hollow plastic egg. Cut a piece of thin thread about 30 cm long (the length of the thread depends on the size of the scarf and basket). C. Tie a small sliver (part of a toothpick) to one end of the thread. Pass the toothpick through the hole and thereby attach the thread to the egg, as shown in the picture. (You can also use clear adhesive tape for this). D. Sew the other end of the thread in the middle of one of the edges of the scarf. E. The length of the thread should be chosen so that the egg is just below the middle of the scarf. F. Fold the scarf and place it next to the basket. The thread should connect the scarf to the egg lying in the basket, as shown in the picture. In addition to this, the basket also contains one real egg and confetti. G. Note. Cover the real egg with confetti so that the plastic egg does not break it when falling. 1. Take the scarf by the two bottom corners and show both sides to the audience. The egg remains in the basket. 2. Place the scarf so that it partially covers the basket, and the edge with the sewn thread should be above the open basket. The point to which the thread is sewn should be located exactly above the plastic egg lying in the basket. 3. Show the audience that your hands are empty and grab the corners. 4. The top edge should be stretched firmly between your hands as you begin to lift the scarf above the basket. The thread will secretly pull the plastic egg out of the basket behind the scarf. The edge must be stretched with force so that it does not sag under the weight of the egg. 5. Then fold these corners together and grab them with your left hand, completely hiding the egg in the folds of the scarf. Holding both corners with your left hand, you reach out with your right hand and grab the bottom two corners. Remember that the folds should be wrapped around the egg hanging on the thread. 6. Turn these bottom corners to the right and up. 7. A folded scarf will now be stretched out in front of the audience. Lift the right corners up and gently shake the egg out of the scarf. The egg will fall into the basket onto the confetti. You just magically pulled an egg out of an empty scarf! 8. As soon as the egg falls into the basket, you throw the right corners of the scarf onto the table, basket first, and hold the two upper corners in your left hand. 9. Now grab the right corner of B with your right hand, while continuing to hold the corner in your left, and spread your arms. Make sure the bottom edge of the scarf lies in front of the basket when you stretch the scarf. 10. With the scarf stretched, lift the top corners, again secretly behind the scarf, pulling the plastic egg out of the basket so that it magically appears like the previous one. 11. Repeat the procedures of steps 5 to 7 so that the egg ends up in the Scarf, just like the first time. Tilt the handkerchief and the second egg (actually the same one) will roll into the basket. 12. Repeat the procedure in steps 9 to 12 for each egg, no matter how many eggs you want to “put in the basket.” To complete the trick, stop at step 11, fold the scarf and set it aside along with the plastic egg hidden in the folds. 13. Take a real egg from the basket with one hand, a glass with the other hand and demonstratively break the egg on the edge of the glass, proving that the egg is genuine. 14. The ending of the trick is as follows: you take the basket from the table and go to the edge of the stage. The public is sure that the basket is filled with real eggs. Suddenly you throw the contents of the basket into the air above the audience's heads, showering them with confetti. If you followed the technique exactly and practiced the trick well in advance, the audience will be scared at first - then surprised and laughed with relief.
