Focus Description:

The magician begins by counting twelve coins (tokens) on the table; then, taking four of them, he gives them to one of the spectators to hold and, taking the rest in his hand, orders them to change places, which they do, to the surprise of the spectators.

The spectator has eight tokens, while the magician only has four. He now asks the spectator to take eight, and commands the four he is holding to join them. It turns out that this has also been accomplished.

The magician then hands the twelve tokens to the new spectator, asking him to hold them tightly. After a minute he asks him to count them again, but sees that he held them too tightly and that they have fused into a solid mass.

The magician takes them again and, blowing on them, returns them to their previous state.

Focus secret:

The trick is performed using sixteen individual tokens and twelve glued together.

The magician began the trick with four tokens held in his right hand, which he quietly added to the four he handed to the spectator; that by taking the remaining eight and transferring them from the right hand to the left, he, in effect, passed only four, leaving the rest in the right hand, and that, passing the eight tokens again to the spectator, he added to them these last ones.

Finally, transferring the remaining four from hand to hand, he squeezed them, lowering them into one of his secret pockets and, taking in the same place or from under the vest the merged twelve, which he handed over to the second spectator instead of twelve separate ones, again replacing them with separate , as before, when he blew on them, he said that he would return them to their previous state.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

HP Omen Mindframe Headset with Cooling Ears 29.05.2018

HP has unveiled a very interesting new product - an overhead gaming headset called the Omen Mindframe. The main feature of the device is the built-in active cooling system that removes heat from the user's ears.

The development is based on the Peltier effect - this is a thermoelectric phenomenon that causes an increase or decrease in temperature during the passage of current at the point of contact of two dissimilar conductors. The applied system significantly increases the comfort of wearing the headset, which is especially important during hot battles that can drag on for many hours.

The novelty provides the possibility of generating virtual 7.1 surround sound. A noise-canceling microphone is provided, which is quickly turned off by turning the foot up.

The headset is backlit. The USB interface is used to connect to a computer.
