EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Rising rope. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The legendary trick, when an Indian fakir threw a rope into the air and it hung, remained a mystery for a long time. The exact way it is implemented is still disputed. The following trick can be considered a variant of this famous trick, but on a smaller scale. The advantages of focus include the fact that it can be performed anywhere, both in front of small groups and in large audiences. The magician shows a rope about a meter long or a little more. It looks like an ordinary rope in every way, but at the command of the magician it becomes rigid and stands upright, held by his fingers. The performer runs his hand from all sides of the rope, proving that she has no lateral support anywhere, that she is not suspended on a thin thread and there is no other secret device. Then, at the wave of the magician's hand, the rope gradually falls and returns to its natural, flexible state right in front of the audience! Focus secret: For the trick, you need to prepare a special rope. First, remove the core from a piece of rope about 1,2 meters long. You will be left with a braided outer sheath of rope in the form of a tube 1,2 meters long. Cut off a piece of wire that is used as solder for soldering electrical contacts. The length of the wire should be slightly shorter than half the length of the rope. The solder should have a diameter of 1,5 to 3 mm and be as straight as possible. Now carefully insert the wire into the core of the rope. Tie both ends of the rope with white thread to keep the wire from popping out of the rope during the performance. 1. Demonstrating the rope, take the appropriate end of the rope in each hand. The end at which the wire is located is held by the left hand, the hollow end is held by the right hand. Make sure (prior to submission) that the bottom loop of the rope looks natural. 2. Release the hollow end with your right hand, allowing it to hang down freely. This is a hint that the rope is flexible. 3. Grasp the rope with the fingers of your right hand slightly above the center. You will feel the wire through the braided sheath. The left hand at this moment still holds the upper end of the rope. 4. Loosen your grip on the fingers of your right hand and let the wire slide secretly down, taking up the bottom half of the rope. 5. Let go of the upper end of the rope with your left hand, and the upper half will hang gently through your right hand. By this point, you have demonstrated to the public that the rope is soft throughout. 6. Grab the hollow end with your left hand and lift it up. 7. Next, the right hand releases the middle of the rope: you let the rope hang for its entire length, holding it with your left hand. 8. Grasp the middle with your right hand again, holding the rope between your thumb and forefinger, but this time turn your right hand palm up so that your thumb is pressing the rope from the side of the audience. 9. Holding the middle of the rope with your right hand, release the hollow end with your left hand and let it hang freely. 10. Turning the left hand palm up, grasp the lower end with the wire. 11. Here is the key move of this trick. Holding with both hands that half of the rope in which the wire is taut, you move the end with the wire to the upper position with your left hand and at the same time turn the right hand. The fingers of both hands, holding the rope, hold the wire in the upper position. 12. Then slowly and solemnly release the upper end of the rope, moving your left hand to the side. With your right hand, you firmly hold the lower end of the wire, located in the upper half of the rope. To the amazement of the audience, the rope is "worth it"! Showing that she is standing and not hanging, you run your left hand around the top end of the rope. 13. To return the rope to its former, flexible state, you gradually loosen the grip of the fingers of your right hand. Let the wire slide slowly down the rope into its lower half. This action gives the impression of a gradual "softening" of the rope. The gestures of the left hand should indicate that the rope is under control when it loses the strength that gives it rigidity. 14. When the rope hangs completely, grasp the hollow end with your left hand. With your right hand, which is still holding the rope, start wrapping the hollow end around your left fist. When you get to the wire, continue wrapping the rope and wire around your left fist. The solder wire is soft, and the rope will freely lie in rings on the fist to the end. Place the coil of rope on a table or in your pocket and bow.
