EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES The spectator finds four aces. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: Four aces are placed face up on the table. The spectator points to one and the aces return to the top of the pile. The magician then deals four aces face down on the table, starting with the ace chosen by the spectator, and adds three cards to each ace, turned face down, to make four piles. The stack lying on the ace chosen by the spectator is given to hold by this spectator. The magician flips over the other three piles, card by card, and the aces are gone. They are in the hands of the viewer. Focus secret: The trick with four aces is popular and is described in many manuals with slight variations, including the missing card in the deck. I prefer to use a standard deck. 1. Take, so that everyone can see, four aces from the deck and place them face up on the table. Ask the spectator, let's call her Jeanne (in this trick it would be nice to choose an assistant to the child), name any ace. While you are talking and she is thinking, casually align the deck and, disguised as this, count three cards from the top of the deck and make a gap with your little finger. 2. When Jeanne chooses her ace - let's say it's the ace of diamonds - take it and place it face up on top of the deck in your left hand. Then take the remaining three aces and place them face up on the deck while lifting the cards over the gap with your right hand. 3. Now in your right hand you hold a stack of seven cards, consisting of four aces, lying face up, and below them three ordinary cards, lying face down. Tell the audience, "You have to remember the order in which I put these four aces on the deck, because I want you to remember the order in which I will deal them on the table in a minute." 4. Suppose the order of aces is as follows: ace of clubs, ace of hearts, ace of spades, and below the one that Jeanne chose is the ace of diamonds. 5. Bring your right hand over your left. Performing the following actions, you must firmly hold in the palm of your hand those cards that are in your right hand so that the audience does not see,
6. With your left thumb, half-push the top ace, and saying "Ace of clubs", with the help of the cards in your right hand, turn it face down onto the pack (see figure). Do the same with the next card, saying: "Ace of Hearts", and with the third, calling it: "Ace of Spades". The spectators will see the faces of the cards when you toss them. Now in your right hand, above the three cards lying face down, is the ace of diamonds, the presence of which the audience is not aware of. 7. Take no action. Simply, without fuss, place four cards on top of the deck with the ace of diamonds facing up. Show the deck to the public, showing off the ace, and say, "And on top, of course, is the card Jeanne chose, the ace of diamonds." 8. Now you can turn the ace of diamonds face down and relax, because the hard part is over. 9. Say: "Now I'm going to lay out the aces in a row. The first, as you know, is the ace of diamonds. I don't remember which aces are the second, third and fourth, but I'm sure you remember this and can prove that you have good memory". 10. As you say this, deal the top four cards in a row, face down. Say, "Now I'm going to add three cards to each ace." Do this by placing three cards in turn on each Ace. Align the stacks and tell Jeanne, "I'm sure, Jeanne, that you know which pile has the Ace of Diamonds as the bottom card." If Zhanna has forgotten, the audience will tell her under. Of course, this is the first stack. 11. Take the first pile and turn it over, showing the audience the ace of diamonds, now on top. Tell Jeanne, "Give me your left hand." Place the stack on Jeanne's palm and tell her to put her right hand on top. "Hold the cards like this, Jeanne, for a minute or two and don't give them to anyone." 12. Point to the second pile and ask the audience: "Who remembers what kind of ace lies at the bottom of this pile?" Many viewers will call the ace of spades. 13. Take a pile and deal cards one after another on the table, while naming each card: "Three of hearts, jack of clubs, four of hearts and, of course, the ace of spades." But when you turn over the last card, it turns out that this is not an ace at all. Say, "Wonder where that ace went. It's gone. Let's see if we have better luck with this stack. Which ace should be on the bottom?" If you're lucky, a couple of spectators will say: "Ace of hearts." Repeat the same steps, demonstrating that this ace has disappeared. 14. Taking the last pile, say, "Well, I guess the bottom card of this pile will be the ace of clubs, but seeing what we're doing here, no one can vouch for that." Deal cards one by one - the fourth ace has also disappeared. 15. Say: "I can't imagine where all the aces have gone. You didn't take them, Jeanne, did you?" 16. That's why I prefer the child to hold the cards - now everyone will think that the aces are in Jeanne's hands. 17. Ask Jeanne to show her cards - and of course it's four aces.
