EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Predictive cards. Focus Secret
Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The spectator shuffles the deck. The magician takes it, selects three predictive cards and puts them on the table - these cards will predict the cards that will open after three removals. The spectator makes two removals, as a result of dividing the deck into three parts. The three cards revealed as a result of these withdrawals correspond in value and color to the three cards chosen at the beginning. Focus secret: This trick uses the same false withdrawal as the Double Prediction trick, so it might be better not to show these two tricks in the same program. This trick does not require any special skills. 1. Give the deck to one of the spectators, say Jeanne. Ask Zhanna to shuffle the deck well and then take it back. Say that you are going to predict three cards that Jeanne will take of her choice, so you need to draw three cards that will confirm your prediction. Tell Jeanne that the magician calls them "Divination Cards". 2. Rotate the deck so that you are looking at the front side of the cards, but make sure that the front side of the cards is not visible to the audience. First of all, remember the top card of the face-up deck, i.e. the card on the right. Let it be a ten of clubs. Expand the cards in a fan - first of all, you need a ten of spades, that is, a card of the same value and color as the one you memorized. Draw out the ten of spades and place it face down on the table in front of you, saying, "This is my first divination card." 3. Continue to fan out the cards until you can see two cards at the bottom of the face up deck. Let the bottom card be the eight of hearts, followed by the queen of diamonds. Fan the deck again. Now you need the eight of diamonds and the queen of hearts.
4. Let's say you hit the queen of hearts first. Draw this card and place it face down to the right of the card already on the table. Continue fanning out the cards until you reach the eight of diamonds, then place it face down on the table on the left. It doesn't matter in what order you draw the two cards, but you must place them on the table in the same order as their equivalents are in the deck. Let's say the pair for the bottom card of the deck is placed on the left side of the first card, and the pair for the second card from the bottom is placed on the right. 5. By doing this, don't give the audience any clues about how you choose your divination cards. Pretend to think about your actions, you can say: "I think the second card should be red and of a fairly high value, perhaps a face card. 6. When the three cards are in place, straighten the deck and say to Jeanne: "Now you will see that I do not change the order of the cards after you have shuffled them. You must draw the cards anywhere, and I predict that the cards that will open in the place where you take them off, will correspond to the three divination cards I have chosen." 7. Place the deck face down on the table and address Jeanne: "First of all, you must remove the cards by taking a pile from the top of the deck - but not too many, as you have more to remove."
8. Jeanne will take some cards from the top of the deck. Tell her, "Now put the cards you have in your hand face up on the top of the pile on the table. When she does, say, "Now take it off again, take a few more cards from the top of the deck." When Jeanne does this, ask her to put them on the table and then say, "Now take the remaining cards and place them face down on top of the pile." 9. When she does, say "Fine" and take the deck, turning it over. "Here we have a deck made up of face-up cards, face-down cards, and more face-up cards at the bottom. The cards are turned over exactly where you chose them, Jeanne. Now we Let's see how many times and how accurately the maps in the places of removal will correspond to the three predictive maps. As you say this, you can slightly fan out the cards to show Jeanne and the audience that you really do have cards face up at both ends of the deck, and face down in the middle of the deck. 10. Now fan down the deck until you reach the first face down card. Take all the face-up cards above it into your right hand and, turning the stack over, place them face down on the table next to the divination card on the left. Now take the top card from your left hand, face down, and place it face down on the resulting pile. Pat the top card and say, "Here's your withdrawal corresponding to the first divination card." 11. Now take in your right hand all the face-down cards from the remaining pile still in your left hand, leaving only the face-up cards in your left hand (in our case, the first of these is the ten of clubs). 12. Place the stack, face up, on the center card on the table, saying, "This one corresponds to the center divination card." Then place the cards face down in the right hand, face down next to the right divination card, saying, "And this withdrawal corresponds to the divination card on the right." Look at the picture on the left - this is how the cards should be placed on the table. Continue by saying, "Well, Jeanne, how do you think I got on with my predictions?" One worked, and that's good, but I'm hoping for at least two." Point to the stack on the left. Jeanne turns over the eight of hearts. You turn over your divination card. This is the eight of diamonds. 13. "Oh, fantastic, what a relief! Now we know that the second card you were down to is the ten of clubs. Let's look at my predictive card." You turn over the central predictive card - this is a ten of spades. 14. Say, "But I'm not completely satisfied. If I made three correct predictions, I can make a living from this! Please, Jeanne, turn over your third card." Be careful with the directions you give the viewer during the filming. If he takes the wrong step, it will be difficult to correct the mistake. Also, be very careful while performing the various actions at the end. It's very easy to get lost here, it's especially easy to forget to add the top card from your left hand to the top of the pile next to the first divination card. Practice several times until you are sure that you can complete the entire trick without making mistakes. 15. Zhanna opens the lady of diamonds. You turn over your card - it's the Queen of Hearts.
