First option:

Focus Description:

All drawings are from the magician's point of view.

The magician shows a coin held between his fingertips and wraps it in a handkerchief in such a way that the coin appears to penetrate the handkerchief without leaving a tear or hole.

Then the magician provides the audience with both a coin and...

Focus secret:

1. You can use your own handkerchief to demonstrate the trick, but it is more effective, of course, to borrow a handkerchief from the viewer. In any case, first show the coin with your right hand, holding it between the tip of your thumb and the tips of your index and middle fingers. Your fingers should be pointing up and the coin facing the audience with the obverse or reverse.

2. With your left hand, drape a coin with a handkerchief, and with it your right hand. The coin should be under the center of the handkerchief.

3. Adjust the handkerchief on the coin with your left hand. At the same time, under the handkerchief, secretly lift the fabric behind the coin with the thumb of the right hand and wrap it around the thumb of the left hand.

4. Retract your left hand, leaving a fold of tissue in the form of a niche between the thumb of your right hand and the coin. Therefore, there are now two layers of fabric between the thumb of the right hand and the coin.

5. Then take the front edge of the handkerchief with your left hand, lift it up and back through the coin. With this movement, you show the coin to the audience, as if to make sure that the audience is still in place.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

6. The next movement is the secret of this trick. With your left hand, grasp both edges of the handkerchief and lift them both up and over the coin.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

7. It seems to the audience that you just removed the handkerchief from the coin to show it, and then again covered it with a handkerchief, as before.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

8. In fact, you are now holding the coin outside the handkerchief.

9. With your left hand, grasp the coin through two layers of scarf fabric and remove your right hand from under the scarf. The audience is left in the belief that the coin is wrapped in a handkerchief, and you are holding the coin through the handkerchief.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

10. With your right hand, now free, twist the bottom of the handkerchief around the coin.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

11. When you twist the fabric, the shape of the coin will clearly show through the fabric.

12. If you wish, you can show the audience a coin wrapped in a handkerchief from all sides.

13. And now begin to slowly push the coin up, reaching out to her with her left hand so that she can accept the coin "penetrating" through the fabric.

14. And then you can give the audience the opportunity to check both the handkerchief and the coin.

The second option:

The magician shows a coin with his right hand. In his left hand he holds a handkerchief with which he drapes both his right hand and a coin. Then he takes the coin with his left hand from the outside, through the handkerchief, and holds it, and pulls his right hand out from under the handkerchief. Then he takes the coin again with his right hand, but this time through the cloth.

Lowering his left hand down, he takes it by the hanging corners of the handkerchief, while his right hand continues to hold the coin. The magician sharply pulls the ends of the handkerchief down: the coin "penetrates" through the fabric of the handkerchief, but there are no tears or holes on the handkerchief - it is whole.

Focus secret:

1. Hold the coin with the tips of your right thumb and forefinger. Take a handkerchief in your left hand.

2. Having shown the coin from all sides, begin to cover it with a handkerchief. Note that the left hand holds the handkerchief by the edge of the side, not by the corner.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

3. When the coin is completely hidden under the handkerchief, the front edge of the handkerchief (facing the audience) should hang slightly below the back edge. Consequently, the handkerchief covers the coin in such a way that the back of the handkerchief is somewhat shorter than the front.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

4. With the tip of the thumb and other finger of the left hand, grasp the coin from the outside, through the fabric.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

5. Then remove your right hand from under the handkerchief along with the coin in it and secretly move the coin to the back edge of the handkerchief. The left hand holds the handkerchief by its center in such a way that it still holds the coin through the fabric.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

6. With your right hand, move the coin behind the handkerchief and place it under the thumb of your left hand, holding the coin behind the handkerchief out of the view of the audience.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

7. While moving the coin, you pretend to straighten the folds of the right side of the handkerchief, smoothing them with the fingers of your right hand from top to bottom.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

8. Then, raising your right hand to the center (top) of the handkerchief, you pass both the coin and the handkerchief from your left hand to your right, keeping the coin out of the audience's view.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

9. Next, you pretend that with your left hand you are correcting the folds of the left side of the handkerchief, smoothing them with your fingers from top to bottom.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

10. Collect all four corners of the handkerchief in your left hand. The right hand continues to hold the coin behind the handkerchief.

Focus The coin goes through the handkerchief

11. Firmly holding all four corners of the handkerchief, make a sharp jerk down, pulling the handkerchief out of your right hand. The handkerchief parted with the coin, which is still in the fingers of the right hand. The audience sees that the coin has gone through the fabric in the center of the handkerchief. Give the handkerchief and coin to the audience to check.

As daring as this trick may seem, when performed correctly, each movement looks natural and therefore does not arouse the suspicion of even the most attentive and skeptical spectator. When rehearsing, first carry out the entire procedure according to the methodology, but without removing the coin from under the handkerchief.

Then repeat the whole procedure again, this time completely, up to the magical penetration of the coin.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. Gut bacteria increase stamina 10.07.2019

A very abundant microflora lives in our intestines, which greatly affects metabolism. Scientists from Harvard have found that some gastrointestinal bacteria make their hosts more resilient.

The researchers took microflora samples from several runners participating in the annual Boston Marathon. Samples were taken before and after the marathon, and it turned out that after the race, there were a lot of bacteria of the Veillonella genus in the microflora. The same Veillonella increased in professional marathon runners and Olympic rowers after training.

One of the bacteria Veillonella atypica, taken from runners and grown in laboratory culture, was given to several dozen mice, which were then put to exercise on a treadmill. The bacterial supplement did not work on all animals, but on average, mice after that began to run 13% longer, that is, they became more enduring.

Veillonella bacteria take up lactic acid and release propionic acid. Lactic acid builds up in the muscles during intense exercise, causing a characteristic feeling of fatigue, so bacteria that need lactic acid can thereby help the muscles. On the other hand, propionic acid stimulates the heartbeat and increases tissue oxygen consumption. Mice given propionic acid showed the same athletic performance as mice given Veillonella bacteria.

It is possible that there are other microbes that respond to certain types of physical activity, helping the body cope with it. Of course, it can be assumed that those who are especially favored by such microbes achieve the greatest success in sports, but perhaps the increase in the number of "endurance bacteria" in the intestines is only a consequence of persistent exercise: a person helps the bacteria, and they, for their part, help him.

It is possible that in the future there will also be special bacterial preparations for those involved in running, swimming, cycling, etc., but first you need to make sure that the microflora can really slightly noticeably affect physical endurance not only in mice, but also in mice. we have.
