Focus Description:

One of my acquaintances, a circus performer, meets his acquaintance journalist on the street and says to him:

- Oh, what a pity, how I regret that you were not at the premiere of my new program! The people at the checkout staged a uniform massacre.

- And what is interesting, they managed to get the money back?

Here, buddy! You will become famous, like me, and people will start breaking into the box office at your concerts.

Believe in miracles and don't be afraid of jokes! And the one who is afraid of jokes, even the most prickly ones, simply does not believe in himself and in his own strength. These are the Atlanteans who are afraid of mice, these are the Hercules who are ticklish! These are Schwarzeneggers who faint when they see Michael Jackson, white as a blender... The list goes on, but what's the point?

I'd rather teach you a fun trick! All tricks focus!

Focus preparation and demonstration

"I get out of the wide trousers ..." No! Not a "duplicate of priceless cargo ...". The wizard takes out two tied handkerchiefs from his pocket - blue and red, and from the other breast pocket of his jacket - white. She elegantly takes the knitted handkerchiefs with her left hand by the edge. They hang freely like bats on a branch in my anecdote:

Bats hang upside down on a branch. Suddenly, one of them suddenly jumps on a branch and freezes vertically. The youngest mouse wakes up from fright and asks the old mouse hanging nearby:

- Excuse me, what's wrong with her?

- What, what - fainting!

Well, you don’t have to make your audience faint at all - it’s enough just to pleasantly surprise them. Let's surprise - and you will never lose.

So, I continue. I return to "our rams", that is, to our headscarves. The good wizard throws a white handkerchief with his right hand into the air, towards blue and red. Pronounces the magic words: "Akhalai-mahalai!" And - about a miracle! - the white handkerchief is instantly attached to blue and red. It can be said to be linked with them to travel.

And moreover in the middle, between them. Here's the trickster!

Focus secret:

The focus is very effective, I assure you. To demonstrate this democratic trick, you will need three multi-colored silk handkerchiefs (40 x 50 cm). You fold a white scarf diagonally and tie a thin, strong black thread or fishing line to its corners. (Which should be tinted with a black felt-tip pen.) Your thread or fishing line - I remind you for the especially gifted - must be black and equal to the diagonal of the scarf.

Please do not confuse a diagonal with a bisector. (This, as you know, is such a rat that runs around the corners and divides it in half. And her sister, a diagonal, lost her sandal. A joke of elementary school students of the Pythagorean school.)

Focus Handkerchief Traveler

The blue and red scarves must be firmly tied to a thread (fishing line), pull them towards each other and tie the ends with a light, weak knot. Put the knitted handkerchiefs in the right pocket, and the white one in the left. Yes, and the costume. The suit, which must be carefully ironed, must be black or dark brown. Against the backdrop of your dark steamed suit, all-seeing spectators will never notice a secret thread.

So, the sorcerer takes out of the wide "Pythagorean trousers" or from the breast pocket "magic" scarves. He throws up a white handkerchief with his right hand and, while it floats in the air, with the same hand picks up the lower end of the hanging blue handkerchief. Then she gently tugs at the blue handkerchief. The weak, "lifeless" knot will slip off, and the handkerchiefs will slide down the thread into the corners of the white handkerchief. Like a white crow, he will be between the blue and red handkerchiefs and crowing merrily: "Kar-karkarramba! Kar-kar-krrrasota!" And just try not to believe in miracles-sa!

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>

Implanted brain stimulator 30.04.2024

In recent years, scientific research in the field of neurotechnology has made enormous progress, opening new horizons for the treatment of various psychiatric and neurological disorders. One of the significant achievements was the creation of the smallest implanted brain stimulator, presented by a laboratory at Rice University. Called Digitally Programmable Over-brain Therapeutic (DOT), this innovative device promises to revolutionize treatments by providing more autonomy and accessibility to patients. The implant, developed in collaboration with Motif Neurotech and clinicians, introduces an innovative approach to brain stimulation. It is powered through an external transmitter using magnetoelectric power transfer, eliminating the need for wires and large batteries typical of existing technologies. This makes the procedure less invasive and provides more opportunities to improve patients' quality of life. In addition to its use in treatment, resist ... >>

The perception of time depends on what one is looking at 29.04.2024

Research in the field of the psychology of time continues to surprise us with its results. Recent discoveries by scientists from George Mason University (USA) turned out to be quite remarkable: they discovered that what we look at can greatly influence our sense of time. During the experiment, 52 participants took a series of tests, estimating the duration of viewing various images. The results were surprising: the size and detail of the images had a significant impact on the perception of time. Larger, less cluttered scenes created the illusion of time slowing down, while smaller, busier images gave the feeling of time speeding up. Researchers suggest that visual clutter or detail overload can make it difficult to perceive the world around us, which in turn can lead to faster perception of time. Thus, it was shown that our perception of time is closely related to what we look at. Larger and smaller ... >>

Grass Fuel 21.10.2016

The photocatalyst will help turn grass into hydrogen.

It would seem that dung, that is, a brick made of chopped straw with manure, can in no way be considered a symbol of scientific and technological progress, because mankind has been heating stoves with it since time immemorial. But in full accordance with the Hegelian dialectic, namely the law of negation of negation, the components of the dung - at first straw, and if things go well, then the waste products of mammals - can turn out to be a source of fuel for ultra-modern hydrogen energy. Indeed, biopolymers are rich in hydrogen, and why not try to take this element from them?

Researchers from Cardiff University, led by Professor Michael Bowker, took the first step in this direction - they conducted experiments on the photodecomposition of cellulose. The light of a table lamp was first directed at a jar containing cellulose and a catalyst - titanium dioxide, known for its photocatalytic activity, with nickel, gold or palladium additives. Light excited titanium dioxide, and the metal directed its energy to detach a hydrogen atom. The results satisfied the researchers, who emphasized that the relatively cheap nickel did the job. At the second stage, lawn grass trimmings were poured into the jar. And this system turned out to be quite efficient: the grass in the light produced hydrogen.

“Few people are studying direct photolysis of organics. Our experiments, which demonstrated that cellulose does not need to be purified beforehand, inspire optimism, because this method of hydrogen production turns out to be very simple,” notes Professor Bowker.
