EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES The drawn card turns into each of the selected cards. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: Any card drawn from the deck turns into each of the selected cards. Focus secret: Have someone pick a card. This first card must not be forced, and you do not need to know it, as you will see it later. When the card is returned to the deck, move your little finger under it and use the volt to move it down. Make the first fake shuffle and keep this card down. Bring it again by volt to the middle of the deck and force it to another and then to a third person, each time making a false shuffle and finally leaving the chosen card, which we will call A, in the hands of the last of the choosers. The choosers must be seated far apart so that they cannot recognize that they have chosen the same card. Having shuffled for the last time, and now (since the card is no longer in the deck) you actually offer the deck to someone, not from among those who chose, to choose any card, we will call this second card B. You open the deck and ask those who hold a card to put them one on top of the other; the first, A, must be placed last, that is, on top of B. By means of a volt, you transfer them to the top, hide them in the palm of your hand and then let one of the spectators shuffle the deck. When this is done, you place the hidden cards on top of the deck and, unfolding it, grab as many cards from the top as there were choosers (i.e. 4), including two cards A and B. Showing 4 cards, you ask each of those who chose to say, without naming his card, whether his card is in this number. Of course, you get an affirmative answer. Each of those choosing, seeing his card among those shown, by itself believes that the rest of the cards are the cards of other choosers; and all the spectators, seeing that the choosers are satisfied, are convinced that the cards shown are the 4 cards that were chosen. You then place these cards in different parts of the deck, putting the two actually chosen in the middle, making a volt to bring them up; then, by unfolding the cards, you invite the third party to choose any card. When this is done, you ask him to name his card out loud; let it be C. Showing this card, you ask each of the previously chosen ones in turn, "Is this your card?" To which everyone answers "No". Having received such an answer from the last of them, you replace this card by the first method with the top one. Now you have card A (chosen by several people) in your hand, while B is the top card, and C, which you have just shown, lies below. You continue: "You all agree that this is not your card, but you'd better not say it so strongly. I'll ask you all in turn, are you sure that this is not your card?" He must confess that now it is his card. “Maybe she was yours a minute before, but now she is the card of this spectator,” you show her to another chooser, who also recognizes her as his card. To the third spectator are you talking? "It seems to me that you chose the card, didn't you? Look at its speck, please. You can see that it has changed again, since now it is your card." You continue: "Now there seems to be no one else." At the same time, you change the card again in the first way, so now A is at the bottom and B is in your hand. Choosing B will no doubt remind you that you haven't shown him his cards yet. You, pretending to be somewhat embarrassed, ask him what card he chose. When he tells you, you ask him to look at the card you are holding and turn it over to show him that it has become his card. Then, making the substitution again, you notice: "Now everyone has seen their cards." Looking at the card you're holding, say, "Here's a draw card." In this trick, as in all those that depend on forcing a card, it may of course happen that someone insists on choosing another card. This shouldn't bother you. First, if you are good at forcing, then nine times out of ten the spectator will take the card you want. If a similar difficulty occurs with the trick that we have described, then it is easily remedied. Recall that the first card is not forced, but freely chosen. It is good to draw more attention to this fact and for this, before the trick begins, offer cards to be shuffled to several spectators; and in particular to draw the attention of the audience to the fact that you could not know any of the cards. When a card is chosen, invite the chooser to return it and take another if he has the slightest suspicion that you know it. Whether he accepts or rejects the offer, your apparent indifference to which card is chosen will make the public believe you more. If the second time you failed to slip a card, then leave the taken card in the hands of the person who chose, try to slip card A to the next one, and turn the taken card into B. If the forcing fails a second time, then again leave the drawn card in the hand of the chooser and turn it into C, on which you end the focus.
