EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES A million to one. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician shows the audience ten small cards, each with a large circle printed on the face. These cards are laid out on the table in the form of a long straight row alternately, circle up, face down. The audience sees five red shirts alternating with five red circles. The magician asks the viewer: "Think hard about the color blue." As soon as the viewer says that he is only thinking about the color blue, the magician asks him to name any number from one to ten. When a number is chosen, the magician instantly points to the card corresponding to that number. To the amazement of the public, it turns out that this is the only blue card in the row. Focus secret: (A) Cards can be made from index cards or any other heavy white cardboard. Color each card with a marker. Color eight out of ten cards in exactly the same way: a red circle on the front side, a red back. (B) The two remaining cards are prepared differently. One card must have a red circle on its face but a blue back. The other card must have a red back, but the face circle is blue. (C) Place ten cards in this pile: the top card is a regular card, face up; the second card is also ordinary, face down; the third card is a special card with a blue back, face up; the fourth card is another special card with a blue circle, face down; fifth card - ordinary, face up; the sixth card is a regular one, face down; seventh card - ordinary, face up; the eighth card is the usual one, face down; the ninth card is a regular one, face up; the tenth and final card is a regular card, face down. 1. Take a stack of cards stacked in a certain order in your left hand. Deal ten cards with your right hand, starting with the top, in a row from left to right. As a result, the cards will alternate face up - face down, and two special cards will be in the third and fourth positions from the left (for you). 2. With the cards spread out on the table, ask the spectator to focus their thoughts on the "blue" color. Then offer to name any number from one to ten. You begin the "Forced Choice" of one of two "special" cards. 3. The spectator tells you a number, and you count the cards in order as follows, whichever number the spectator tells you. If this: NUMBER ONE - start counting from the leftmost card and count out loud "ONE" letter by letter (one - in English), indicating as a result of counting the third card (with a blue back). NUMBER TWO - start on the left and spell out "TWO" (two in English), finally pointing to the third card (with a blue back). NUMBER THREE - count out loud - one, two, three - from the left card and point to the third card (with a blue back). NUMBER FOUR - count out loud - one, two, three, four - from the left card and point to the fourth card (with a blue circle). NUMBER FIVE - start on the left and count down "FIV-E" (five - in English), finally pointing to the fourth card (with a blue circle). NUMBER SIX - start on the left and spell "SIX" (six - in English), finally pointing to the third card (with a blue back). NUMBER SEVEN - invite the spectator to count the cards from the right end of the row, and he will come to the fourth card (with a blue circle). NUMBER EIGHT - invite the spectator to count the cards from the right end of the row, and he will come to the third, special card (with a blue back). NUMBER NINE - start from the left and count down "NINE" (nine - in English), finally pointing to the fourth card (with a blue circle). NUMBER TEN - start from the left and count down the letters "T-EN" (ten - in English), pointing to the third card (with a blue back) as a result. 4. After completing the countdown by letter or number, emphasize that the spectator was given a free choice of any card (at least it seemed to him!). Turn over the chosen card and show its other side - blue. 5. If the selected card is blue-backed (the third card), turn all face-up cards face down to reveal that they are all red-backed except for the chosen card. 6. If the card with the blue circle (fourth) is chosen, turn all face down cards face up to reveal that each card has a red circle on its face, except for the chosen card. 7. By flipping the cards, you finally prove to the audience that all the cards are the same, except for the one that was chosen, and disguise the fact that you had another "special" card. Then you collect cards, trying not to show that there is another "special" among them.
