Focus Description:

Take the magazine. Having demonstrated that nothing is hidden in it, roll it into a bag. Tilting the bag over a glass vase, release a golden chain from the magazine into it.

Focus secret:

The secret of the trick is in a cloth pocket pinned inside the left sleeve of your suit. A gilded chain about 90 cm long is inserted into the sleeve. The pocket is attached to the bottom with a hairpin (Fig. a), and the hairpin is inserted into the fabric of the pocket not from the inside, but from the outside of the suit sleeve.

Taking a magazine that does not contain any secrets, start folding it into a bag (fig. b). At the moment when the edge of the left sleeve is inside the bag, pull the hairpin out of the sleeve with your right hand, grasping its head, and the chain will fall under its own weight from the pocket into the bag.
