The preliminary stage of the transmitting amplifier) is assembled on a field-effect transistor VT1 with a gain of about 10.

At the input there is a capacitor C1, which has a very small capacitance. The signal is amplified by two stages of a linear power amplifier. The first one, which has the highest gain, uses a VT2 transistor operating in class A. The output stage (its power gain is 5) is made on a VT3 transistor, which has increased electrical strength and good linearity. For the temperature stability of the cascade, a thermistor R9 is used, mounted on a radiator, near the transistor VT3. In addition, the cascades are separated by screens. The transmission coefficient of the whole device is about 40 dB. The amplifier at the same time develops an output power of about 2,5 watts. Its output is designed to connect a load with a resistance of 75 ohms. During installation, the capacitor C1 is directly soldered to the central core of the cable coming from the VCR. Capacitor leads must be as short as possible, as are all other connections. To ensure stable operation, the base circuits of the transistors are separated from the collector circuits. The transistors VT2 and VT3 themselves are placed in recesses on the radiator, and a thermistor R3 is installed next to the transistor VT9.

The rest of the parts are assembled on a printed circuit board made of double-sided foil glass-textolite, mounted on racks on the radiator. The foil on one side is used as a screen. Holes for parts must be countersunk. The screens between the base and collector circuits of the transistors are also made of foil fiberglass. They must be connected to the common screen of the circuit. The following parts are used in the amplifier: thermistor - type KMT-1, trimmer capacitors C6, C9, C11 - type KT4-21V. The Dr1 inductor is wound on a MLT-0,25 resistor with a resistance of 100 kOhm with a PEV-1 0,12 wire in one row until it is filled, about 30 turns. Coils - frameless and wound with silver-plated wire with a diameter of 1 mm, L1 contains 3 turns, the outer diameter of the coil is 10 mm, the length of the winding is 6 mm; L2 contains 4 turns, the outer diameter of the coil is 8 mm, the winding length is 8 mm; L3 contains 3 turns, the outer diameter of the coil is 8 mm, the winding length is 5 mm; L4 contains 4 turns, the outer diameter of the coil is 10 mm, the winding length is 8 mm. You can power the amplifier from any stabilized source that provides a current of about 20 A at a voltage of 0,5 V, and about 12 mA at 80 V.

For the A2 receiving antenna, it is better to use a 5-element "wave channel" type antenna

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Major risk factor for gambling addiction 07.05.2024

Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. Teenagers with a low level of prosocial behavior do not show interest in the help and support of others, which can lead to a loss of contact with the real world and a deepening dependence on virtual reality offered by computer games. Based on these results, scientists ... >>

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

Exercise for Fatty Liver Disease 24.03.2024

Scientists from the University of Tsukuba have presented new evidence on how exercise may help treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). This disease is considered one of the most common throughout the world, affecting almost a quarter of the world's population.

In NAFLD, fat accumulates in liver cells, which can lead to inflammation, cirrhosis, and liver failure. Research has shown that exercise has a positive effect on liver health.

This disease is usually associated with an unhealthy lifestyle, where a person eats too much food and leads a sedentary lifestyle. In Japan, NAFLD is diagnosed in 41% of middle-aged men, and 25% have non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), which leads to liver dysfunction.

Losing weight is key in the fight against NAFLD. However, losing weight on your own can be difficult and, over time, almost impossible.

Previously, exercise was seen more as an addition to weight loss diets, but studies have shown that it can also reduce fat changes and increase organ flexibility, which has beneficial effects on health.

Experiments have shown that exercise can maintain muscle mass while reducing body mass and fat. Using ultrasound elastography, it was found that regular training reduces liver steatosis by 9,5%, organ stiffness by 6,8% and fibrosis by 16,4% compared with simple weight loss.

Exercise is an important and effective method of combating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Including them in a regular training program can significantly improve liver health and prevent the development of serious complications.
