When you need to check the quality of installation of assembled structures, you can use a simple probe (see figure), assembled from several parts.

Probe for installation continuity

It works like this. When the probes are connected to the circuit under test with low resistance, the transistor VT1 opens. The current in the base circuit of the transistor is limited mainly by the resistance of the resistor R1. The HL1 LED lights up - the brightness of its glow depends on the resistance of the resistor R2.

When the continuity of circuits with high resistance, the LED does not glow.

The transistor is any of the KT361 series, the LED is any of the AL307 series, the brightness of its glow is set by selecting the resistor R2 with the X1 and X2 probes closed. Resistors - any, with a power not less than indicated on the diagram. The probe can be powered from a GB1 battery, made up of two galvanic cells connected in series, or from a low-power power supply.
