Broadband electrodynamic heads of the 30GDSh-27D series, as well as two-way 30GDSh-34D (with a coaxially installed RF head) are intended mainly for use in automotive acoustic systems as broadband radiators. Heads of the 30GDSh-28D series are distinguished by a honeycomb membrane and are recommended for automotive speakers as broadband radiators, as well as for stationary speakers as bandpass radiators (LF and MF). Heads ZOGDN-ZZD with a dome diffuser and a rubber suspension are recommended to be installed in small-sized speakers.

In the designation of the heads, the symbol "P" corresponds to the design option of the diffuser holder for installing the head outside the acoustic design case, and the symbol "K" corresponds to the option for installing the head on the inside of the acoustic design panel. Heads with a decorative protective grille have the symbol "P" in their designation.

Maximum sinusoidal power for heads 30GDSh-27D, 30GDN-ZZD, 30GDSh-34D - 30 W, for heads 30GDSh-28D - 25 W; maximum noise power - 30 W; maximum long-term power - 35 W; maximum short-term power - 40 watts. All heads listed here have a nominal electrical resistance of 4 ohms; their main parameters are summarized in Table. 1.

On fig. 1 shows a variant of the design of these heads with the symbol "K" (round), and in fig. 2 - with the symbol "P" ("rectangular"). Height 80 mm corresponds to heads ZOGDN-ZZD, 30GDSh-34D.

On fig. 3-6 show the frequency response of the heads mentioned in Table 1.

JSC "Dynamik" has developed a new high-frequency dynamic head 25GDV-23D (T40-23D). It has some design features. It uses a flat membrane as a radiator, clamped in the center and along the periphery. The head has a short exponential horn and a bullet-shaped concentrator. To remove heat from the coil and improve damping, the gap of the magnetic system is filled with a magnetorheological fluid.

The head is designed for use in multi-way modular acoustic systems and high power units. In the AC, it is connected through an LC high-pass filter, which protects the head from overload by low-frequency signals.

The filter parameters are given in Table. 2, and the filter circuit - in fig. 7. The head has a nominal electrical resistance of 8 ohms, and the resistance of the resistor R1 is selected in relation to the sensitivity of the loudspeaker in other bands. Depending on the cutoff frequency - 5, 8 and 10 kHz, the values of the maximum power of the speaker in which this head is installed are different: 40, 80 and 120 W, respectively.

Electrodynamic heads and speakers

The main parameters of the head are given in table. 3, the frequency response is shown in fig. 8. Its design and installation dimensions are shown in fig. 9.

Electrodynamic heads and speakers

On the basis of electrodynamic heads, developed at DYNAMIC JSC, loudspeakers - sound columns are produced. They are a line of the same type of emitters (dynamic heads) mounted in aluminum cases together with a matching transformer. Depending on the number of heads, the speakers have different radiation patterns in the vertical plane. Speakers can be used for scoring open spaces, sports fields, stadiums, industrial premises, hangars, cargo areas, platforms.

Sound speakers can be connected to a wired broadcasting network or to local amplifiers with a rated output voltage of 30, 90 or 120 V, and the speakers are connected to any of the indicated voltages using a three-wire cord without opening them. Three models 10KZ-14D, 20KZ-13D, 30KZ-12D have a reproducible frequency range of 250 ... 12500 Hz and the corresponding maximum noise power - 10, 20 and 30 watts.

Electrodynamic heads and speakers

The main parameters of the columns are summarized in Table. 4, and the frequency characteristics and drawings with overall and mounting dimensions of some of them are shown in fig. 10, 11.

Electrodynamic heads and speakers

Radiation patterns are important for the correct placement of loudspeakers in the sounded area. On fig. 12, 13 respectively show the radiation patterns in the vertical and horizontal planes for the column 10KZ-14D, in fig. 14, 15 - for column 20KZ-13D, in fig. 16, 17 - for column 30KZ-12D. In all diagrams, the solid line corresponds to a signal frequency of 1 kHz, the dashed line corresponds to 4 kHz, and the dotted line corresponds to 8 kHz. At lower frequencies, the directivity of the radiation from the speakers is less.

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

American Roulette 04.02.2000

Engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have designed a tape measure, from the measurements made by which, the computer immediately builds on the screen a three-dimensional image of the room measured by the tape measure. It looks like an ordinary roulette, but a little larger.

Built-in sensors determine the length of the stretched tape when measuring, the compass registers the direction in which the roulette body was turned, and another sensor determines the angle to the horizontal at which the measurement was carried out.

All these parameters are transmitted by radio to a portable computer, which is included in the tape measure kit, and a perspective plan of the measured room appears on the display screen.
