7.2.1. This chapter of the Rules applies to electrical installations located in the buildings of entertainment enterprises with auditoriums: theaters, circuses, cinemas, concert halls, clubs, centers for the creativity of children and adolescents, indoor sports facilities, sports palaces, sports halls, etc.

7.2.2. Electrical installations of entertainment enterprises, in addition to the requirements of this chapter, must meet the requirements of the chapters of Sec. 1-6 and ch. 7.1 to the extent that they are not modified by this chapter.

7.2.3. Stage - a specially equipped part of the building, designed to show performances of various genres.

The stage consists of: the main playing part (the stage board) connected with the auditorium through a portal opening, the proscenium, the rear stage and side pockets connected by openings in the walls with the main playing part of the stage, as well as the hold and the space above the grate.

7.2.4. Bandstand - part of the auditorium, intended for variety and concert performances. The stage can be separated from the auditorium by a portal wall with an open opening or be in the same volume as the auditorium.

7.2.5. Manege - part of the auditorium intended for circus performances.

7.2.6. Stage lift - a mechanism designed to raise and lower scenery, spotlights, curtains and other stage equipment.

7.2.7. Stage lighting - lighting designed for lighting design of theatrical performances, concerts, variety and circus performances.

7.2.8. Technical control rooms - rooms in which lighting and projection devices, staged lighting control devices, communication equipment, electro-acoustic and cinema technology devices, electrical power installations and control of electric drives of stage mechanisms (stage, arena) are located.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Hydroelectric power plants also warm up the climate 16.11.2005

Although hydroelectric power plants, unlike thermal power plants, do not emit combustion products into the atmosphere that contribute to global warming, indirectly, hydroelectric power plants make a large contribution to this process. Brazilian scientists came to this conclusion.

When creating a hydroelectric power station, large areas are flooded with water, usually covered with vegetation. Trees and bushes begin to rot underwater, releasing carbon dioxide and methane, which is 21 times more effective than carbon dioxide at shielding infrared rays, preventing heat from dissipating into space. Even when, after many years, the plants at the bottom rot completely, the process will not stop.

The water level in the reservoir of a hydroelectric power station, as a rule, fluctuates, the water is released, when it is required for irrigation or more electricity is needed, then it is accumulated.

In seasons of low water, the drained coastal strip is inhabited by plants, which then flood and rot. It turned out that due to these processes, the Brazilian Curua Una hydroelectric power station produces 3,5 times more greenhouse gases than if this power plant was running on oil.
