Section 5. Electric power plants Electrical rooms. Placement and installation of electrical equipment Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Rules for the installation of electrical installations (PUE) 5.1.11. The layout of the EMF at all levels should allow for convenient transportation and installation of equipment. In the basement of the EMF, with its length of more than 100 m, driveways for electric cars or transport carts should be provided. The clear distance between the transported elements of the equipment and elements of the building or equipment must be at least 0,3 m vertically and 0,5 m horizontally. 5.1.12. The width of passages between foundations or machine bodies, between machines and parts of a building or equipment must be at least 1 m clear; local narrowing of the passages between the protruding parts of the machines and building structures is allowed up to 0,6 m for a length of not more than 0,5 m. 5.1.13. The clear distance between the body of the machine and the wall of the building or between the cases, as well as between the ends of adjacent machines, if there is a passage on the other side of the machines, must be at least 0,3 m with a machine height of up to 1 m from the floor level and not less than 0,6 m with a height of cars more than 1 m. The width of the service passage between the machines and the facade (front side of the service) of the control panel or control panel must be at least 2 m. When installing panels in a cabinet, this distance is selected from the machine to a closed door or cabinet wall. These requirements do not apply to local drive control stations. The width of the passage between the machine body and the end of the control panel or control panel must be at least 1 m. 5.1.14. The clear width of the maintenance passage between a row of cabinets with electrical equipment with voltage up to 1 kV and parts of the building or equipment must be at least 1 m, and with the cabinet door open - at least 0,6 m; with a two-row arrangement of cabinets, the clear passage width between them must be at least 1,2 m, and between open opposite doors - at least 0,6 m. It is allowed to install machines with a power of up to 10 kW and small-sized equipment in the service aisles behind switchboards, racks, consoles and other similar elements of the switchgear up to 1 kV due to the local narrowing of the passages in the light to a value of at least 0,6 m, while the distance from the machine body or apparatus to the current-carrying parts of the shield must be at least specified in 4.1.21, clause 2. The dimensions of service passages for switchgear, switchboards and other equipment must meet the requirements given in 4.1.21 - 4.1.23 and 4.2.86. In the basement floor of the EMF, it is necessary to provide for the implementation of a cable floor or a cable tunnel with open laying of more than 350 power and control cables or more than 150 power cables in the most cable-laden section of the basement. The width of passages in cable structures should be taken in accordance with 2.3.123 and 2.3.125. Rows of cable structures with cables in these structures should not form dead ends longer than 7 m. To avoid the formation of dead ends, a passage under cables with a clear height of at least 1,5 m from the floor is allowed. Above such a passage, a reduced distance between the shelves is allowed, providing the possibility of dismantling cables, but not less than 100 mm. 5.1.15. Directly in the EMF it is allowed to openly install: 1. Oil-filled starting and control gears for electrical machines up to and above 1 kV (autotransformers, reactors, rheostats, etc.) with an oil mass of up to 600 kg. 2. Transformers with a capacity of up to 1,6 MB A, autotransformers, instrument transformers and other devices with an oil mass of up to 2 tons, which have increased tank strength and seals that prevent oil leakage, as well as (for transformers and autotransformers) gas protection or a relay signal pressure. Joint installation of a group consisting of no more than two of the indicated transformers (devices) is allowed, with a clear distance between individual groups of at least 10 m. 3. Transformers are dry or filled with non-flammable liquids without limiting power and quantity. 4. Metal switchgear, substations up to 1 kV and above, capacitor banks or individual capacitors. 5. Rechargeable batteries of a closed type, provided that an exhaust device is installed or charged in special rooms or cabinets. 6. Semiconductor converters. 7. Control, protection, measurement, signaling boards, as well as boards of control units and stations with devices installed on them, having open current-carrying parts on the front or back side. 8. Uninsulated conductors up to 1 kV and above. 9. Equipment for cooling electrical machines. 5.1.16. When oil-filled electrical equipment is located in the EMF in closed chambers with roll-out inside the EMF, the mass of oil in the equipment installed in one chamber or in a group of adjacent chambers should be no more than 6,5 tons, and the clear distance between two chambers or groups of chambers should be at least 50 m If this distance cannot be maintained or if the mass of oil in one chamber or in a group of adjacent chambers is more than 6,5 tons, then oil-filled electrical equipment should be placed in chambers with a roll-out to the outside or in a corridor specially designed for this purpose, or in a production room with production of categories G or D according to SNiP Gosstroy of Russia. 5.1.17. The mark of the upper surface of the foundation plates of rotating machines not connected with mechanical equipment (converting, excitatory, charging units, etc.) must be at least 50 mm higher than the mark of the finished floor. The elevation of the upper surface of the foundation plates of rotating machines associated with mechanical equipment is determined by the requirements for its installation. 5.1.18. Through passage through EMF of pipelines containing explosive gases, combustible or flammable liquids is not allowed. Only pipelines that are directly related to the equipment installed in them are allowed to be laid in EMP. Cold pipelines must be protected against fogging. Hot pipes must be thermally insulated where necessary to protect personnel or equipment. Pipelines must have a distinctive color. 5.1.19. In cases where the top mark of the foundation plate of the machine is higher or lower than the EMF floor mark by more than 400 mm, a fireproof platform with a width of at least 600 mm with handrails and ladders must be provided around the machine. Service platforms located at a height of up to 2 m above floor level must be protected by railings, and at a height of more than 2 m - by railings and side barriers. Steps should be provided to enter the platforms. 5.1.20. If the enterprise has a railway network connected to the public railway, and when delivering heavy equipment by rail, it is recommended to provide a normal gauge railway line with a dead-end entry into the EMF. The length of the dead-end approach should ensure the possibility of removing equipment from the open platform using EMF lifting devices. If the delivery of equipment is carried out by road, it is recommended to provide for the possibility of the arrival of vehicles in the EMP, in the area of operation of load-lifting devices. 5.1.21. Electrical machines must be installed in such a way that their operation does not cause noise and vibration of the machine itself, the foundation or parts of the building above the permissible limits. 5.1.22. For the performance of installation and repair work in the EMF, special sites (mounting sites) should be provided or free areas between the equipment should be used, designed for the heaviest, practically possible load from the equipment and located in the coverage area of the EMF lifting devices. The outer contours of the floor of the installation site must be marked with paint or metlakh tiles that differ in color from other parts of the floor. EMF sections along which the equipment is transported must be designed for the load of the transported equipment. The contours of these areas should be marked with paint or tiles. The dimensions of the mounting platforms are determined by the dimension of the largest part (in the package), for which they are intended, with a margin of 1 m per side. Places for installing racks for placing anchors of large electrical machines on installation sites must be designed for the load from the weight of these anchors and racks and have a distinctive color. Mounting sites must be labeled with the value of the maximum allowable load. 5.1.23. Electric lamps in the EMF should not be located above the open busbars of the switchgear and open current ducts. Electric lamps serviced from the floor should not be located above rotating machines. See other articles Section Rules for the installation of electrical installations (PUE).
