1.6.20. To automatically record emergency processes in the electrical part of the power system, automatic oscilloscopes must be provided.

The placement of automatic oscilloscopes at objects, as well as the selection of electrical parameters recorded by them, as a rule, should be done in accordance with the recommendations given in Table. 1.6.2 and 1 6.3.

In agreement with power systems (district energy departments), recording devices with accelerated recording in case of an accident may be provided (for recording electrical parameters that are not monitored using automatic oscilloscopes).

220 Triangle, quadrilateral, bridge Also It is allowed to install one automatic oscilloscope if there are no automatic oscilloscopes at the opposite ends of the 220 kV lines
110 With sections or busbar systems One - three per section or busbar system One for two sections or operating bus systems (without pre-crash recording)
110 With sections or busbar systems Four - six per section or busbar system One for each section or operating bus system (no pre-crash recording)
110 With sections or busbar systems Seven or more per section or busbar system One for each section or working bus system Installation of two automatic oscilloscopes for each section or working bus system is allowed (without pre-failure recording)
110 Without switches on the 110 kV side, bridge, triangle, quadrangle One or two Not installed

Table 1.6.3. Recommendations for the selection of electrical parameters recorded by automatic emergency oscilloscopes

Switchgear voltage, kV Recommended parameters for recording with automated oscilloscopes
750,500, 330 Phase voltages of three phases of lines. Zero sequence voltage and current of lines. Currents of two or three phases of lines. Power amplifier current, RF transceiver receiving current and RF protection output intermediate relay contact position.
220, 110 Phase voltages and zero sequence voltage of a section or operating bus system. Zero sequence currents of lines connected to a section or operating bus system. Phase currents (two or three phases) of the most critical lines. Reception currents of high-frequency transceivers of differential-phase protection of intersystem power lines.

1.6.21. At power stations owned by the consumer and connected to the power system (block stations), automatic emergency oscilloscopes must be provided for each bus system of 110 kV and above, through which communication with the power system is carried out via power lines. These oscilloscopes, as a rule, must record voltages (phase and zero sequence) of the corresponding bus system, currents (phase and zero sequence) of power lines connecting the block station to the system.

1.6.22. To record the actions of emergency system automation devices, it is recommended to install additional oscilloscopes. The placement of additional oscilloscopes and the choice of parameters recorded by them should be provided for in emergency system automation projects.

1.6.23. To determine the location of faults on overhead lines of 110 kV and higher with a length of more than 20 km, fixing devices must be provided.

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Improved efficiency of flexible CIGS solar cell 13.10.2022

Researchers at the Swiss Federal Laboratory for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) have achieved a world record efficiency of 22,2% for a flexible copper indium gallium selenium (CIGS) solar cell on polyimide plastic film.

The German Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE) confirmed the results. As of September 2021, the cell efficiency was 21,4%.

The device was fabricated by low-temperature compatible evaporation to grow a light-absorbing CIGS semiconductor thin film.

"The current improvement in efficiency is due to doping the light-absorbing semiconductor layer to improve its electronic properties," the research team said.

The solar cell has been developed by a research group over the past 23 years. Their "record path" began in 1999 with an efficiency of 12,8%, which then increased to 14,1% (2005), 17,6% (2010), 18,7% (2011) and 20,4% (2013) and finally reached 20,8% (2019), 21,4% last year.

"The flexible and lightweight solar modules resulting from this technology are particularly suitable for applications on rooftops and facades of buildings, greenhouses, vehicles, airships and portable electronic devices," said Ayodhya Tiwari, head of the Thin Film and Photovoltaics Laboratory.

By the way, the Japanese company Solar Frontier has achieved by far the highest efficiency among CIGS solar cells - 23,35%. German manufacturer of thin-film modules Avancis achieved the highest solar panel efficiency of 19,64%.
