The signaling device (Fig. 7.10) is designed for installation in receivers powered by a 7D-0,1 battery. It is assembled on a micro-assembly of field-effect transistors and therefore consumes a very small current in standby mode - less than 0,1 mA.
When the supply voltage exceeds the minimum allowable value (7 V), the LED is off. When the supply voltage drops to 7 V, the LED lights up, signaling the need to recharge the battery. Trimmer resistor R4 sets the threshold for turning on the LED. The difference between the power supply voltages at which the LED turns off and on is only about 0,03 V.
