Many modern telephones with automatic caller identification (CALL) have the ability to be powered by built-in AA batteries in the event of a power failure. These elements have to be periodically replaced at the most inopportune moment. You can solve this problem by replacing the batteries with batteries.

Backup power for phone with caller ID
Rice. 1. Schematic diagram of the backup power device

On fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of a device for guaranteed power supply to a phone with caller ID (Venus5! rev.2 board). An unstabilized voltage of 8,5 ... 9 V is supplied to the input of the circuit. The backup power module is assembled on the elements DA1, D1, D2, R1, R2, Bat1 -4. The input voltage through the diode D1 and the quenching resistor R1 is supplied to a battery of four AAA batteries (800 mA / h) and a parallel regulator DA1, which controls the battery charge. As soon as the voltage on the battery becomes more than 5,5 V, DA1 opens and passes the charging current through itself. In the event of a mains voltage failure, power is supplied through diode D2, which reduces the output voltage of a fully charged battery (1,375 Vx4 \u5,5d 5 V) to 5 V. In normal mode, power is provided by a 2 V voltage regulator, on elements DA1, C3-C3. Schottky decoupling diodes D4, DXNUMX are located on the AON board.

Setting up the device comes down to setting the resistor R2 (with the batteries disconnected) at terminals 2, 3 DA1 voltage of 5,5 V.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Trains instead of planes 30.01.2020

Europeans are increasingly opting for rail transport over air travel because they are ashamed of the damage that airplanes do to the environment.

In Europe, the movement to protect the environment is rapidly gaining popularity, symbolized by the Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg. Environmental activists, in particular, are promoting a phenomenon called Flight Shaming - its supporters are calling for shame on those who fly planes and thereby allegedly harm the planet. Apparently, Europeans are really becoming ashamed of flying: in Sweden and Germany, the number of air travel has fallen for the first time in ten years.

Swedish airports in 2019 received 4% fewer passengers than in 2018, and airlines carried 2% fewer people (on domestic flights - 9% less). German airlines delivered 0,4% fewer passengers, while domestic traffic fell by 2%. Supporters of flight shaming are calling for the use of trains instead of planes, and apparently this is working: in Europe, there is an increase in passenger traffic on railway lines.

The German Deutsche Bahn in 2019 transported a record number of passengers on long-distance trains - about 150 million people per year. Due to the increase in traffic, Europe's rail networks may face problems with outdated infrastructure. For example, 33 thousand kilometers of German railways are overloaded, which is why every fourth train arrived late in 2019. In the UK, the situation is even worse - every third train is late and the carriages are often overcrowded.
