The device described below converts a 12 volt DC automotive voltage to 220 V AC, at a frequency of 50 Hz. The output power is about 30 watts. It consumes a current of about 2,5 A under load.

The converter contains a master oscillator at a frequency of 100 Hz on a DD1.1 trigger, a frequency divider by 2 on a DD1.2 trigger, a pre-amplifier on transistors VT1, VT2 and a power amplifier on transistors VT3, VT4, loaded with transformer T1.

The master oscillator has a high frequency stability (no worse than 5% when the supply voltage changes from 6 to 15 V). The frequency divider simultaneously plays the role of a balancing stage, allowing you to improve the shape of the output voltage of the converter. The secondary winding of the transformer T1 with the capacitor C5 and the load form an oscillatory circuit with a resonant frequency of about 50 Hz.

Chip K561TM2 can be replaced by K564TM2. Instead of KT973B transistors, you can use a composite emitter follower on transistors of the KT361 and KT502 series. Capacitors C1 and C2 - KMBP, C3 - KM5, C4 - K50-6, C5 - MBGO for a voltage of at least 400V. Transistors VT3, VT4 should be placed on heat sinks with a usable area of about 8 cm1 each; when using metal transistors, a heatsink is not required. Transformer T30 can be rewound from any network transformer with a power of 50..21 W. All secondary windings are removed (the network will serve as winding II), and instead of them, two half-windings are wound with a PEL or PEV-28, 20 wire, each with a number of turns corresponding to a transformation ratio of about 220 in relation to the left winding at XNUMX V.

The converter assembled from serviceable parts does not require adjustment, with the exception of the selection of capacitor C5 from the condition of obtaining the maximum output voltage with the load connected.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

tattooed pear 03.03.2006

The American company "Durand Wayland" intends to deprive bananas, oranges, apples and other fruits of the usual colored stickers with the name of the company.

As a result of ten years of research, the company's engineers have created a device the size of a suitcase and weighing 136 kilograms, which engraves any inscriptions and logos on the skin of the fruit with a laser beam. The beam burns out the pigments in a layer of peel several micrometers thick, leaving an inscription.

The area on which the signs are applied does not become more prone to decay than the surrounding areas. In a second, the device labels 17 fruits, which is almost twice as fast as the fastest machine, adhesive labels.
