An electro-fluvial chandelier, an ionizer, is an emitter of negative air ions that can increase the saturation of the air in a home with air ions.

Design consists of a square base made of 2 mm wire and a mesh of 1 mm wire, in the nodes of which pointed needles of 0,3 mm wire are soldered. From the corners to the center of the square are four conductors soldered together. A high voltage is applied to this point, and the chandelier is suspended from the ceiling through the insulator.

The thyristor high-voltage converter consists of a step-down power transformer T1, a rectifier on VD1, a storage capacitor C1, a high-voltage transformer T2 and a thyristor control unit - III winding T1, R2, VD2.

Details. Instead of the thyristor KU201L, you can use KU202N. It is unacceptable to use triacs (for example, KU208). Any small-sized transformer T1 from a lamp radio (wind it yourself on a Ш19 core, a set thickness of 30 mm: I winding - 2120 turns of PEL-0,2 wire; II winding - 2120 turns of PEL-0,2; III winding - 66 turns of PEL-0,2 ,2). T35 - high-voltage coil from the electronic ignition unit of the Tral chainsaw or magneto. It can be made from a core and a high-voltage coil from a TV like UNT-66 ("Record-0,51", "Dawn"). Wind the primary winding with the PEL-200 wire itself number of XNUMX turns.

Instead of a high-voltage column VT-18 / 0,2, 5GE600AF can be used. Insulate the high-voltage wire only with PVC tape. Before turning on the converter for the first time at the break at point A, you need to connect a 220 V lamp. If the lamp lights up after switching on, swap the terminals III of the T1 winding. If after that a high voltage appears, but the lamp continues to glow at least slightly, increase the resistance of the resistor R2.

During the operation of the air ionizer, there should be no odors - this is a sign of the appearance of harmful gases that occur when high voltage leaks to the case or nearby parts.

When setting up and operating the converter, electrical safety must be observed.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Solar Desalination System 07.04.2024

Lack of fresh water is one of the most pressing problems facing a significant part of the world's population. In search of effective and environmentally friendly methods to solve this problem, researchers from various educational and scientific institutions are introducing innovative technologies based on the use of solar energy.

Researchers from King's College London, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Helmhotz Institute for Renewable Energy Systems have developed an innovative system that uses solar energy to desalinate salty groundwater. This promises to be a cheaper and more effective solution compared to traditional methods.

About 40% of the world's population faces fresh water shortages, and 4 billion people experience acute water shortages for at least a month a year, according to the UN.

Desalination technology works like this: Specialized membranes are used to channel salt ions, and then the salt water is separated from the fresh, potable water.

The team also developed a way to flexibly adjust the speed and voltage of the system, allowing it to adapt to different lighting conditions.

Initial trials were conducted in India, where access to clean water is a particularly acute problem. Successful results showed that the system is capable of providing up to 10 cubic meters of fresh water per day, which is enough to support the livelihoods of thousands of people.

This is not only an environmentally friendly solution, but also cost-effective. By using solar energy and inexpensive components, the system offers access to potable water at a lower cost than traditional methods.

An advanced solar-powered desalination system opens new horizons in solving the problem of access to fresh water. Its efficiency and environmental friendliness make it an important step towards ensuring sustainable access to water resources for all segments of the population.

Paul
Mr. N. Semakin there is an error in the scheme !!! The device WILL NOT work properly because of it. At least you yourself bothered to collect at least and check. I assembled this device from the magazine "Modeler-Constructor" about 26 years ago and intuitively placed the VD2 diode in the VS1 control electrode circuit in the right direction. And what kind of chainsaw is this "Tral" in your article? And the high-voltage coil from the TV? At least they called it a horizontal transformer. In general, for beginners, your article is not helpful, but misleading.
