The scheme of one of the stimulators is shown in fig. 1. Its main parts are a 564 or K176 series microcircuit, an HL1 LED indicator and a VT1 transistor, on which a matching (buffer) cascade is made. In addition, the stimulator is equipped with probes X1 and X2, of which X1 is considered active - they are driven along the body and the desired point is found, and X2 is passive, attached, for example, to the arm.

On elements DD1.1, DD1.4, a determinant of biologically active points (BAP) is assembled, and on DD1.2, DD1.3 - a generator of stimulating pulses. When the probe X1 hits the active point, the resistance of the human body in this place drops sharply, as a result of which at the input of the element DD1.1, and hence at the output of DD1.4, almost a logical level 0 appears. The HL1 LED lights up on the found point.

Simultaneously appearing at the output of the element DD1.1 logic level 1 allows the operation of the generator. The pulses generated by it pass through the matching cascade and are fed to the active probe X1, and through it to the patient's body. Diode VD1 prevents the passage of pulses to the input of the element DD1.1 and at the same time in the pauses between pulses allows you to save the BAT search mode. Thus, there is no need for a button, which is typical for such stimulators and switches the probes from the point search mode to the stimulation mode.

Variable resistor R1 sets the threshold for automatic operation individually for each patient, resistors R4 and R5 - the repetition rate and duration of stimulating pulses, and resistor R9 - their amplitude.

Details of the device can be placed in a small metal case, which simultaneously serves as a passive probe. For the manufacture of an active probe, a used ballpoint pen is suitable, a wire is soldered to the writing unit of which, and a drug is poured into the case, if necessary - then the stimulation procedure will be combined with electrophoresis (a therapeutic method of influencing the body with direct current and medicinal substances introduced with its help through the skin or mucous membranes).

If, in addition to the light, an audible indication of the BAP search is also needed, the stimulator should be modified, as shown in Fig. 2. The cascade on the transistor VT2 together with the cascade on the DD1.4 element form an RF generator, the signal of which is converted into sound by a piezoelectric emitter BF1.

It should be noted that in the stimulator pulse generator, when the frequency is adjusted, the pulse duration changes slightly, and when the duration is adjusted, the frequency.

On fig. 3 shows another scheme of the stimulator, in which the pulse generator is designed differently, which made it possible to avoid the mutual influence of the frequency and duration of the pulses. In addition, the generator is powered by elements DD1.1 - DD1.3 from element DD2.1.

The generator of light and sound signals, made on the elements DD2.3, DD2.4, is modulated by the signal of the stimulating pulse generator - this allows you to visually and aurally control the frequency of stimulating pulses.

With the values of the elements indicated on the diagrams of the stimulators, the pulse frequency can be changed by a variable resistor from 10 to 150 Hz, and the duration from 0,5 to 5 ms.

Attention! Use the device after consulting a doctor!

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Simple game improves children's math ability 24.06.2016

A five-minute computer game that develops an intuitive sense of numbers in five-year-olds helps them then cope with more difficult math problems. Such a discovery was made by psychologists from the Krieger School of Science and Arts at Johns Hopkins University (USA), under the guidance of Professor Lisa Feigenson.

As part of the study, 40 five-year-old children, divided into three groups, were offered to play a simple game: blue or yellow spots appeared on the screen, and the child then had to say which color spots were more. The level of difficulty of tasks in the game varied. Children in the first group first solved simple tasks, and then gradually moved on to complex ones. The second group had the opposite. Finally, members of the third group were offered simple and complex tasks mixed up, in random order.

After the children played the game, they were given part of a standard kindergarten math aptitude test. (For example, “Which is bigger, 6 or 7?”, “Masha had two apples, she was given another one, how many apples did Masha have?” And so on.) It turned out that among the children who completed the tasks in the game in the correct order (from simple to complex), then 80% successfully completed the test. In the second group, only 60% succeeded. Finally, in the third - 70%.

Thus, a simple number-sensing game really improves young children's math abilities - at least in the short term. One more cautious conclusion can be drawn: the level of mathematical abilities is not something laid down once and for all, it can be increased even at an early age.
