The proposed electrostimulator is good to use on trips, business trips. It is easy to manufacture and gives stable parameters when repeated. The use of any low-power low-frequency transistors makes it possible for beginner radio amateurs to make it. Any transistors are used: GT109, MP40 ... When using silicon transistors, it is necessary to change the polarity of the electrolytes and connect the batteries. LED - any glow with the appropriate switching polarity. I have AL102B.

It is better to design the device with one probe, and use the metal case of the stimulator as the second one. The case is taken from a safety razor, metal. A metal strip is glued to the plastic case. If you use a "crown" type battery, then you need to double the capacitance of the capacitors.

Switch SA1 changes the polarity of the electrodes, SA2 - switches the type of work SEARCH - WORK. In the "SEARCH" position, an active point is searched. When a point is found, the LED lights up. With a stable burning of the LED, the switch SA2 is set to the "WORK" position and the point is acted upon. The strength of the exposure current is regulated by a variable resistor R5.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Electromechanical bandage 28.01.2022

Scientists from the China University of Electronic Science and Technology and Wuhan University have presented a dressing that affects the wound by mechanical force and electric shock, changing its microenvironment in such a way as to promote healing.

The dressing consists of four layers. The lower one is an antibacterial PTFE polymer material that generates an electrostatic field on contact with a wound that penetrates up to 10 millimeters deep and kills bacteria (at least E. coli) with over 99,9 percent efficiency. It is coated with a layer of soft Ecoflex silicone for flexibility. Then there is a layer of shape memory alloy metamaterial, designed to contract when heated by the skin and mechanically connect the edges of the wound and direct the electric field. Finally, the fourth is another layer of silicone material. Despite the layering, the dressing turned out to be very thin - the entire "sandwich" does not exceed 0 millimeters in thickness. Scientists have developed two versions of the product - for long and round wounds - which differed mainly in the shape of the electrostatic layer.

The effectiveness of the bandage was tested on seven laboratory rats, which were tried to treat cuts (1 centimeter long) and round deep gouges (0,8 centimeters in diameter). The subjects were divided into four groups: the first group was treated with the four-layer bandage described above, the second group was treated with a bandage based only on a shape memory alloy, the third group was treated with a bandage based only on an electrostatic material, and the control fourth was not applied. The bandage was removed every two days and the wound healing process was recorded.

Due to the flexibility of the bandages did not interfere with the normal mobility of the animals. On the second day after the injury, in a four-layer dressing-treated animal, the cut edges tightened, the wound became covered with a small scab and appeared to be going through the stages of inflammation and tissue formation. On the fourth day, the wound began to shorten, completely closed, and on the sixth day it was almost invisible. On the other hand, in rats with two dressings on the second day, the scab only began to form, by the fourth day it slowly developed, and only on the sixth day the wound passed into the stage of inflammation and the formation of new tissues. The results indicate that the dressing is effective and its action is due primarily to the combined effect of both active materials.

The mechanical effect stimulates the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), while the electrical effect stimulates the production of transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) and epidermal growth factor (EGF).
