I propose a converter circuit that works with any broadcast receiver that has medium and long wave ranges.

With the input circuit L1 indicated on the diagram, it is possible to receive radio stations in the 27 MHz band and amateur radio stations in the 28 MHz band.

To increase selectivity, instead of the L1 coil, it is recommended to use a band-pass filter on the L4 coils, L5, L6, L7.

If there is no "Antenna" socket in the radio, it is recommended to turn on the L3 coil. It is wound on a ferrite rod 400 ... 600 NN from a transistor receiver with an MGTF wire with a diameter of 0,1 ... 0,25 mm and contains 70 turns.

The local oscillator on the VT3 transistor is tuned to a frequency of 28 MHz.

Coil L2 - frameless, wound with a wire with a diameter of 0,8 ... 1,2 mm and contains 12 turns, a branch from 1/3 of the turns from below. Winding diameter - 10 mm, winding length -17 mm. Coils L1, L4, L5, L6, L7 are wound on frames from HF circuits of broadcasting receivers with a diameter of 7 mm. Coils L1, L5, L6 contain 8 turns of PEV wire with a diameter of 0,3 mm. The coupling coils contain 3 turns.

The converter was mounted using the "surface" mounting method on a board made of double-sided foil fiberglass 1,5 mm thick. On the side where the installation is being carried out, contact pads are cut out with a cutter, the second side of the board is grounded.

The converter is located in the radio housing or in close proximity to it. When receiving SSB and CW radio stations in the 28 MHz band, it is necessary to make an additional "telegraph" local oscillator.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Dinosaurs time to cut 06.08.2011

Paleontologist John Horner from the University of Montana (USA) believes that there are too many dinosaurs. About a thousand species are now known, and an average of two more appear every month. Horner believes that at least 50 dinosaur species are simply different age stages of other species.

Michael Benton from the University of Bristol (Great Britain) believes that there are much more such "fake" types of pangolins - a good half. It is flattering for every paleontologist to become the discoverer of a new species, therefore, they take into account such signs as the length of a particular bone, the shape of the skull and bone outgrowths on it, the number of teeth, and all these features, like in modern animals, change with age.
