The frequency converter is made with a separate generator on Q1, its frequency is controlled by the oscilloscope sweep saw. The loop L1, C11 and the sweep voltage determine the frequency band to be analyzed. Circuit L2, C6 - filters out interference (L2 ~ 300 turns on K12 2000 NM). U1 - microcircuit MS174PS. To power the device, you must use a stabilized voltage.

The gadget operates at frequencies up to 250MHz and is quite linear with output signals up to 2V. Usually I connect: INPUT - 10cm wiring or an external antenna (2 m pin with counterweights installed on the roof of a 5-story building), OUTPUT - input Y (closed), output from the generator - C1-73 (made it a tap from the output of the sweep generator ), sweep frequency - 5ms/div., . To control the range, I use a board with an LC7265 from an old car balalaika. It is convenient to use the lotion when setting up Spy transmitters, RF amplifiers, monitoring the presence of signals over the range, it can be used as an FM transmitter (instead of a saw - a tape recorder).

A frequency converter for an oscilloscope, it is more correct to call a frequency converter with a zero output IF. Zero beats allocated by the low-pass filter are formed in the same way when interacting with the local oscillator frequency located both above and below the frequency of the received signal. The error in determining the frequency of the received signal depends on the frequency tuning rate of the local oscillator and the bandwidth of the low-pass filter and can be quite large.

The scheme gives good results for rough estimates of the frequency and amplitude of the received signals. The circuit should work well in indicators of radio emissions used to detect, for example, radio microphones installed for eavesdropping.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Meat grown in space 18.09.2021

It may sound like something out of Star Wars or Star Trek, but humans have finally managed to grow meat in space. The meat produced by the Israeli food company Aleph Farms was created aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and is considered the world's first lab-grown meat produced in space.

The edible meat was made from a pair of bovine cell spheroids in a laboratory on the space station segment and grown to mimic natural cows. the process of muscle tissue regeneration. The proposed method can be used to provide "meat without slaughter" for people living on the space station.

This event comes more than two decades after astronauts successfully grew potatoes aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia, and just a few years after the creation of a "space garden" on the ISS.

Although the "space steak" was cooked using basically the same methods as their original earth-based line of lab-grown meat, they had to make slight changes to the procedure to accommodate its space location.

"The XNUMXD bioprinter is equipped with a magnetic force that fuses cells into one small tissue that is meat," Yoav Reisler, Aleph Farms external relations manager, said in a statement, adding that bioprinted tissues mature faster in space than on Earth. .

This is probably due to the lack of gravity in space. The fabric is printed from all sides at the same time, like a snowball, while most other bioprinters create it layer by layer. On Earth, cells always fall down. In weightlessness, they hang in space and interfere only with each other. Gravity layering requires a support structure.
