The TV's circuit breaker turns off the TV after broadcasts have ended. It is controlled by constant or pulsed voltage signals, which can be taken from the fractional detector of the audio channel, from the control grid of the amplitude selector lamp, from the video amplifier (video signal), from the amplitude selector (sync pulses), etc.

TV circuit breaker

The TV set has two buttons: S2 "On" and S1 "Off". When the S2 button is pressed, power is supplied to the device and the TV, a constant voltage appears at the output of the rectifier VI and V2 and relay K.2 is activated, opening its normally closed contact K2.1. Capacitor C4 starts charging, relay K1 is activated and the power button is blocked by contacts K1.1 until capacitor C4 is fully charged. This time is enough to warm up the TV and receive a video signal at the input of the device. The signal selected by the L1C2 circuit, which is tuned to the horizontal sync pulse frequency, opens the transistor V3 with a negative half-wave and the current through the relay winding K1 does not stop even after the capacitor C4 is charged. After the end of the transmission, the video signal disappears, the transistor V3 closes, and at the end of the discharge time of the capacitor C4, the relay K1 opens its contacts, turning off the TV. The S1 button is used to turn off the TV manually.

Details. Transformer T1 is made on the magnetic circuit Ш12X15. Winding I contains 6000 turns of wire PEV-2 0,1, winding II - 600 + 600 turns of wire PEV-2 0,12; coil L1 is wound with PEV-1 0,23 wire on a cylindrical paper frame with an inner diameter of 8,5 mm, 35 mm long and contains 1200 turns with taps from the 812th and from the 120th turns, counting from the end connected to the common wire , the core of the coil is a rod cylindrical ferrite grade 700 NM, 50 mm long and 8 mm in diameter.

The device is adjusted by connecting the resistor R1 to the anode (collector) of the output lamp (transistor) of the video amplifier. The emitter of transistor V3 is disconnected from the circuit and connected to the common wire of the device. Using a voltmeter, control the voltage on the circuit and adjust the core of the L1C2 circuit until the maximum voltage is obtained. Then, having restored the circuit, the emitter of the transistor V3 is connected in turn to the 12th, 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th turns of the circuit, the generation of the circuit is disrupted (self-excitation is evidenced by the closed contacts K1.1 of the relay K1 in the absence of a video signal).

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Deciphering the illegible handwriting of doctors 22.12.2022

Google is working with pharmacists to develop an artificial intelligence model for Google Lens that can decipher illegible handwriting, such as notes and prescriptions written by doctors.

The company showcased the feature during its annual conference in India on Monday. Users need to either take a photo of the recipe or download it from the media library. Once the image is processed, the application will detect and highlight the medicines mentioned in the prescription.

Google Lens is a multi-purpose artificial intelligence-based object recognition tool that can be used to identify products, plant or animal species, and translate.

The Google Lens app could already be used to digitally transcribe handwritten notes, though the feature is still very dependent on how legible the handwriting is. To use the feature, you must have the latest version of Google Chrome, as well as the standalone Google Lens app on Android or the Google app on iOS (where Lens can be accessed via the button next to the search bar). You also need to be signed in to the same Google account on both devices.
