Subj : electric fence... (was: problems)

Sabj - at the request of the workers ... The scheme is taken from "Radio", No8, 73g. :)

Transistors - P214 or P217 (who doesn't remember: this is PNP (Plug_end_Play :))) The fence itself is a long steel galvanized open wire 2.000 or more (and less? :) meters long ...

Transformer Tr1:

W12x12 or w16x16; I - 14 turns (0.7) with a tap from the middle, II - 60 turns (1.0) with a tap from the middle, III - 120 ... 130 turns (1.0)

Winding sequence: I, II, III. After 2-3 layers of insulation...

electric fence

An excerpt from the editorial review of this circuit:

Since the exit the resistance of the converter, determined by the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil, is large, then when the animal touches the output voltage will decrease from several thousand to 10 - 30 volts.

Attention!!!

This hedge was designed for grazing cattle and also for horses, which are somewhat more sensitive than cows. What will happen to your chickens, dogs, cats, etc. - I don't know... I'm already silent about people, and especially about children... :-|

>be careful!!!!!!!!! :-| Best wishes.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Wearable sensor for taking vital signs 17.07.2014

In September 2014, Toshiba Corporation plans to begin deliveries of a specialized biological sensor Silmee Bar, designed to record vital signs of the body.

The sensor is fixed in the chest area with a helium pad. It allows you to take an electrocardiogram, register a pulse wave and body movements, and measure temperature. Based on the data obtained, various indicators are calculated, in particular, changes in heart rate are evaluated depending on the intensity of movements and changes in posture are recorded. Information can be transferred to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth wireless communication.

The sensor measures 64x28x9,6mm and weighs 14,6g. The battery is said to last approximately 24 hours of continuous use. IPX5/IPX7 certification means protection against moisture and dust.

It is assumed that the novelty will be of interest to various scientific organizations, universities and corporations conducting research in the field of medicine and health care.

Note that Toshiba considers the health care business as one of its top three business areas. It is expected that in 2015 financial year it will bring corporations up to 600 billion yens ($5,9 billion) of revenue. In 2016, revenue could rise to 720 billion yen.
