The device determines the presence of a constant voltage in the range from 6 to 15 V and checks the serviceability of electrical circuits with a resistance of up to 10 kOhm. Both operations are performed using only two probes, without any switching.
Battery GB1 (see diagram) is connected in series with two indication circuits connected in parallel. One of them (resistor R1 and LED HL1) is a voltage indicator, the second is an indicator of continuity of circuits (resistor R2 and LED HL2). When checking the voltage in the electrical circuits of the car, the HL1 LED lights up and at the same time the battery is being recharged. When checking the integrity of the electrical circuit, if its resistance is low or it is closed, the HL2 LED should light up. With a known skill, the intensity of its glow can be used to judge the levels of tension and resistance.
Resistors of any type and any LEDs from the AL307 series are applicable in the device. Battery GB1 - two miniature cells (for example, STs21) or two batteries.
If during a long break in the use of the probe, the battery in it is discharged, then it is recharged from the car battery. To do this, observing the polarity of the probes of the device, connect the probe to the car battery. The time required to charge the probe battery is 5...20 min. The battery is considered charged if, with the probe probes closed, the HL2 LED shines brightly.
The design of the probe may be different. So, for example, if its battery is made up of two miniature disk batteries D-0,1, it is convenient to assemble the device in the form of a bracelet fastened with a strap on the wrist.
