The weakest link in the 25AC-109 (25AC-309) speaker system is the high-frequency head ZGD-31 (new name 5GDV-1-8), which does not allow you to get a clear sound from the entire speaker. You can significantly improve the sound quality by replacing this head with a more modern and powerful 6GDV-4-8, the flanges of both heads are the same, so the replacement does not require any additional alterations to the speaker cabinet and allows you to keep its appearance unchanged.

Sound enhancement 25AC-109

A new head is installed on the inside of the speaker front panel. To improve the sound of the 25AC-109, it is necessary to make some changes to the high-pass and mid-range filters. In the first of them, the resistance of the resistor R3 should be reduced from 5,1 to 3 ohms and the capacitances of the capacitors should be increased: C3 - from 2 to 3 microfarads and C4 - from 1 to 2 microfarads. In the second filter, it is recommended to remove the coil and reduce the resistance of the resistor R2 from 5,1 to 3 ohms, and connect the C20R4 circuit in parallel with the 8GDS5-4 mid-frequency head. In some batches of 25AC-109, there is no coil in the midrange filter. However, the alteration of such speakers is carried out according to the same methodology.

In order to equalize the frequency response of the mid-frequency head 20GDS-4-8 and reduce non-linear distortions, it is recommended to carry out acoustic damping of this head. To do this, the window of its diffuser holder should be sealed with synthetic felt, and the sealing box should be completely filled with sound-absorbing material.

After the described alteration, the sound of the 25AC-109 becomes cleaner and only slightly inferior to such well-known acoustic systems as the 35AC-012 (S-90).

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Electric flying taxi tested 21.04.2017

Startup Lilium from Munich announced the successful test flights over Germany of a prototype vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft Lilium Jet - a compact version of the future "flying taxi". VTOL has the capabilities of a helicopter in terms of take-off without a large runway, but after take-off it is able to achieve higher fixed-wing speeds - like an airplane.

The Bavarian company, whose investors include Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom, said the prototype would create a five-seat vertical takeoff and landing aircraft that could be used as an urban air taxi and for commuting.

During flight testing, the two-seat prototype Lilium Jet performed a number of complex maneuvers, including the transition in the air from hover mode (like a drone) to horizontal flight "on wings".

The main advantage of the future "air taxi" Lilium is the use of only renewable electrical energy. Many VTOL technology developers choose to rely on hybrid propulsion to get around some of the design and performance issues that come with an electric propulsion. The flight range of the Lilium Jet on a single battery charge is 300 km, the maximum speed is 300 km/h.

Lilium was founded in 2015 by four graduates of the Technical University of Munich. In 2016, it managed to raise 10,6 million euros in investments from venture capital firm Atomico Partners, led by Zennström, and investment company e42.
