The spectrum analyzer is designed to display the real signal level in five bands of the audio spectrum. It incorporates five bandpass filters, each of which is tuned to its own frequency and outputs only its own frequency range.
An LED level indicator (almost any) is connected to each of the five outputs.
As a result, you get the ability to visually control the signal level in each frequency range, and not the total summed signal (if only one indicator is used). Particularly good results are obtained if the spectrum analyzer is combined with a 5 or 6 band equalizer. In this case, you quickly adjust the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the audio path and at the same time observe the spectral change in the audio signal.
