The delta antenna is a type of loop antenna. This type of antenna has proven itself well on HF bands, and, as practice shows, they are very effective on VHF.

Connecting the power cable with a wave impedance of 75 or 50 ohms is carried out through a g-matching device. Figure 1 shows the mechanical design of one element of such an antenna. Horizontal element l1 it is better to make from copper or aluminum wire with a diameter of 2,5..5 mm. Vertical elements l2 are made from tubes with a diameter of 10 mm or from a bimetallic rod. The ends of these rods are inserted mutually perpendicularly into the holes in the carrier traverse, which has a rectangular (22x22 mm) or round section. This design turns out to be quite rigid and at the same time makes it easy to change the distance of the vertical elements when tuning the antenna.

Even better results can be achieved using dual Delta antennas. A variant of a three-element Delta antenna is shown in Fig.5. Such an antenna gives a gain of up to 10 ... 11 dB. The single element dual delta antenna has a gain of 3 to 4 dB. A two-element dual Delta antenna with a director and a reflector gives a gain of 8 to 9 dB.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

DC/DC converters TEQ 20/40WIR 08.03.2021

TRACO has expanded its TEQ/WIR chassis-mounted DC/DC converter family for railroad and industrial applications with the TEQ 20WIR and TEQ 40WIR series.

The expansion took place in the direction of decreasing power. At the moment, in addition to 100/160/200/300 W converters, 40 and 20 W products have become available. The transducers have a 4:1 wide input (9...36; 18...75; 43...160 V), operate in an extended temperature range of -40...92/93°C and meet the requirements of EN 50155, and for EMC they meet the requirements of class B without additional components. The product line includes models with a bipolar output for + -12, + -15 and + -24 V.

The products have protection against short circuit, overheating, output overvoltage and input undervoltage (UVLO).

The converters are recommended to be used in a wide temperature range in various critical applications where high reliability of the power supply system is important.
