If you do not have selsyns, the problem can be solved by simpler means that provide quite acceptable results. On fig. 1 shows a rotation angle indicator based on a balanced resistance bridge. R1, R4 - wire. Since most variable resistances have an angle of rotation around their axis other than 360°, it is necessary to make a transmission unit so that the rotation of the antennas by 360° corresponds to the full rotation of the axis of the variable resistance R1 - from limit to limit.

Antenna angle indicators
Ris.1

In my case, the variable resistance had a full turn of 330 degrees, a transmission unit was made with a ratio of 1: 1,09. The resistance values do not matter, it is only important that the condition R1=R4 is observed. R2, R3 serve to eliminate the influence of the active resistance of the cable (wire) connecting R1 to the circuit. R5 is set to the "middle position, it can be replaced by two constant resistances of the same value. The measuring head PA is a 50 μA microammeter with zero in the middle of the scale. The current consumed by the circuit is 0,5 mA.

- Calibration:

A) set the antenna to 0 °, adjust R4 to zero RA readings. We put the value 4 ° on the scale combined with R0.
B) We set the antenna to 360 °, we also adjust R4, we mark 360 ° on the scale. It remains to linearly calibrate the scale - and you can get to work.

Schedule: to detect the angle of rotation of the antenna, adjust R4 through the simplest vernier to zero readings of the head. If you need to install the antenna in some direction, then R4, associated with a graduated scale, set the required azimuth. The direction of rotation is chosen so that the arrow PA tends to zero, upon reaching which it can be considered that the antenna is set to the required angle. Limit switches 0 and 360° are installed on the antenna mast, upon reaching which the polarity of the motor power supply changes and the antenna begins to turn in the opposite direction.

2) If there is no head with a zero center, it is possible, on the basis of the same circuit, to construct a less accurate device, where the scale of a conventional type microamperemeter graduated from 0 to 360 ° is used as a scale. To do this, R4 is shorted, the diodes D1, D2 are removed for greater linearity, and R6 is increased by another 20 kOhm (this is when using a head with a full deflection current of 50 μA). If there is a less sensitive head, then R6 is selected. Now the zero reading of the device corresponds to 0°, and the maximum - 360°.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

DC/DC converters NSD-10 and NSD-15 for board mounting 23.07.2007

Mean Well announced the start of production of new modular PCB-mounted DC/DC converters NSD-10 and NSD-15 with 10W and 15W respectively. The new products are a lower power expansion of the popular DC/DC converter line and are designed for the growing market for distributed power applications.

The products of the new series are identical in size and pinout to their predecessors ASD-10H and ASD-15H, but they are characterized by increased performance, economy, and a number of additional functions. The input voltages of the new converters are 12V and 48V, the range of output voltages selectable by the user includes 3,3V; 5 V; 9V (except NSD-15); 12V; 15 V; +5V; +12 V; +15 V. Isolation between input and output is 1500 VDC.

Other features of the new products include remote on/off, short circuit, over voltage and overload protection. The 15W models also have remote output voltage adjustment for added design flexibility.
