I submit to the readers' judgment the sound complex developed and manufactured by me, or rather the sound audio complex.

I will start my story from afar and with some explanations. I started designing radio equipment in the mid-60s of the last century. In the early 70s, a comfortable, for those times, restaurant "Berezina" was built in the city of Borisov. A professional vocal and instrumental ensemble worked in this restaurant. So this ensemble worked on radio equipment, which I completely made. At that time, it was difficult to purchase high-quality radio equipment: amplifiers, speakers, etc. The tube sound amplifying equipment I made at that time worked almost 24 hours a day and, most importantly, without fail.

Since those distant times, I have pursued the goal of creating sound equipment that allows the listener to experience the effect of full presence at the performance of a musical performer. Since then, I have assembled over 100 low frequency amplifiers of varying power and complexity from 1W to 300W, on a variety of elemental bases, from lamps and transistors to devices completely on microcircuits. It was possible to get the effect of surround and high-quality sound when playing high-quality stereophonic phonograms, but no more. One day in 1999, while attending a concert by VIA Pesnyary, I came up with an unexpected solution to this problem. Shouldn't I create sound equipment using the method of a vocal-instrumental ensemble? That is, the voice equipment separately, and separately for the instruments.

I will not describe how much I had to work hard to bring this idea to life. A huge amount of special literature on this topic was re-read, many experiments were carried out. In 2000, I achieved what I aspired to. On the sound audio complex, consisting of six low-frequency amplifiers and eight sound speakers, I was virtually present at the concerts of the Beatles, Pesnyary, etc. I have developed low-cost amplifying equipment that allows you to get the effect of the listener's full presence in the performance of a piece of music when playing back high-quality stereophonic phonograms. The musical experts invited by me to audition unanimously declared that a live performance practically does not differ from a performance on a phonogram, I emphasize again, a high-quality stereophonic phonogram.

The following equipment was used for playing phonograms: a reel-to-reel tape recorder "Astra 106 stereo" of the first class, a vinyl disc player of the highest class "Radio engineering", a player for playing audio discs "Thomson", a computer 52-speed CD-ROM. With all this playback equipment, the amplifiers designed by me matched in the best possible way. The block diagram of the audio complex is shown in fig. 1. Six amplifiers were combined into two cases. High fidelity stereo voice amplifier (Figure 2) in one package, with deep frequency response control for high and low frequencies and separate gain control for each channel.

The other cabinet contains four bass amplifiers containing four final effects and four pre-amplifiers. These amplifiers (Fig. 3 and 4) do not have any frequency adjustments, more precisely, they have fixed adjustments for high and low frequencies.

The cubic volume of the room, in which an audio audio complex can be installed with the given parameters of bass amplifiers and loudspeakers, can be in the range of 80 ... 10000 m3. The approximate location of the loudspeakers is shown in fig. 6.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Bicycle wheel purifies the air 16.10.2020

Kristen Tapping, a student from London, has created a bicycle wheel that purifies the air as you move. The device, called ROLLOE, passes air through filters that trap pollutants.

“While cycling around London, I can see and feel pollution from tires and exhaust pipes,” Tapping told Designboom. “I thought, why not use a vehicle to filter the air? If it turns out that the product has a future, I will try to bring it to a commercial level.”

ROLLOE can be mounted in front of a standard bike frame. The wheel has three levels of filters. The first is a sponge made of eco-friendly material based on loofah, which traps large particles. The second is a HEPA air filter and the third is an activated carbon filter that absorbs the smallest particles.

As a person rides through the city, polluted air enters the bicycle wheels through a cylindrical opening, then is forced through the filter stack by centrifugal force and forced out through the outer perimeter. Filters should be changed once a week or every 250 km.
