LG's new LCD TVs stand out with their powerful hardware platform, advanced smart features, smart remote control and a clean design with a thin bezel around the screen. For image processing in TVs, a 4-core video processor is used. Another 2-core processor controls the built-in computer.
At an event in Moscow, LG Electronics announced the entry into the Russian market of new models of LG Cinema 3D LCD TVs. The announcement was led by the flagship LM960V series, which includes models with a diagonal of 47 (47LM960V) and 55 inches (55LM960V). A distinctive feature of the series is the strict design of the Cinema Screen with a 4mm metal frame around the screen. The concept is complemented by a chrome stand. The panel can also be wall-mounted. Both models - 47LM960V and 55LM960V - are equipped with IPS panels with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), LED backlighting and 3D support with 2D to 3D conversion and stereo depth control functions, like in Philips TVs.
Together with the 2012 lineup, the manufacturer has introduced new features that complement the functionality of the built-in Smart TV computer. In particular, features such as WiDi (the ability to use TV as a second screen for a laptop without wires), Mobile Share (the ability to wirelessly transfer content from mobile devices) and Second Display (the ability to wirelessly transmit a TV signal to a mobile device) are noted. There is also traditional support for the DLNA standard. Both models are equipped with four HDMI ports and three USB 2.0 ports with the ability to play DivX HD from external media. The power of the built-in speaker system is 20 W (plus a 10 W subwoofer). In addition, the Dual Play function is provided, which provides the ability to play together on one screen using two special sets of different glasses.
For the convenience of controlling LG Cinema 3D TVs, the Magic Motion remote control was developed, the operation of which is similar to navigating with a computer mouse. In 2012, it was updated with new features. Gesture control allows you to execute commands using specially programmed movements, wheel control allows you to scroll through pages just like on a computer screen, and voice control technology is used to type text and select TV channels (Russian language is supported).
